Hello:hello:
I'm Nile...........one of the board guides. Isn't it nice of MSE Andrea to describe us as fabulous?:D
I've been doing voluntary work for decades, so I was happy to join the band of MSE board guides. I've been a member of the MSE forum since August 2003 and have been a board guide since September 2005.
I can't count the amount of money I've saved over the years, thanks to MSE.
I've learned so much on all sorts of subjects, thanks to the wonderful members who post in the forum.
What do I get out of it? The feeling of being a valued member of the fabulous:D board guide team. The feeling of satisfaction when I can help someone.............or remove spam.;)
Do you have to be an expert? No, I'm not an expert in anything except chocolate.
Do you need to be a techie wiz? Pah..........if I can do it, anyone can.:o
I'm a board guide because I like helping other members, helping Martin and the MSE team............and giving something back.
This message is posted in memory of dear Pink. who patiently taught me all I know about board guiding.
Cheers

I would be happy to help - house selling, buying; motoring, tech stuff, praise, vent, warnings; consumer rights, marriage /relationships; over 50s moneysaving and ebay are the areas I visit most, but I tend to visit several others as well and really don't mind whichever area you might need ..........0

But we WERE fabulous darling! Before I left obviously!
No seriously - the BGs are an amazing lot, it's a hugely fustrating and satisfying role all at the same time
I gave up several years ago due to family, work and life - I do miss the gang hugely and there is very much a family/team feeling among the BGs - everyone happy to help newbies and support each other. It's a massively sharp learning curve, and you see things you never noticed before - best of luck to anyone becoming a BG, it's great fun and we never forget anyone...
