People seem to have been PPRd for simply stating facts.
Is that against the rules of this forum?
Hi Mandelbrot
Here's our infraction process again:
Unless someone is a) a previously PPRd user or b) posted something totally unacceptable they would have gone through the process above and have received several warnings about their posting style before being banned (we actually have a quiet word with users before they yellow card so they do have plenty of opportunity to change the way they "speak" on the Forum before they get to the PPR stage - PPR is a last resort).Could you do with a Money Makeover?

I know of a recently perma-banned user (previously PPRd) who received no notifications at all ... he was posting in the morning quite happily (being careful of his posting style - not in any way being abusive or posting in a manner any different to the dozens of other posters replying in the same threads), went for lunch and in the afternoon found he had been banned.
No notification whatsoever. If your response is he will have been sent a PM ... how could he see it if he'd been banned? A use who has a PPR status cannot access their PMs.0 -

Hi there,
I would like to volunteer my services to be a board guide in the following:
- Flights, Currency & Car Hire (my previous professional life was in the aviation industry and I still keep myself very up-to-date with things and feel I could add value in this forum).
- Pensions, annuities & retirement planning. In my current professional life I have had to fully train myself up on current pension practises and arrangements, particularly the Teachers' Pension Scheme (Scotland, though England is identical in practice) as well as Defined Contribution plans, particularly employer based plans.
- Employment, Jobseeking & Training. In a current union-based role I am required to advise on employment concerns and issues and am continuing to build on my knowledge & understanding of UK employment law.
If I can be on any help then I would be glad to offer my assistance.0 -
Hi I would love
Debt Free Wannbe - paid off all my debt this year!
Pensions, Annuities and Retirement Planning ( I am an IFA)
The House Buying, Renting & Selling Board (I deal with all elements at work and then also bought my first one this year)
Thanks

Hi guys,
I have deleted facebook and would love to use my time more wisely back on MSE as a board guide.
My interests are in old style money saving - thrift, make do and mend/craft, slow cookers/store cupboard challenge/food/recipes, no clutter/household saving, tech stuff, debt free.
These are the types of board i used to frequent regularly, and am back on board (so to speak) to aid and assist.

Just saw this thread only now
My preferences would be:
1. Credit Cards
2. Credit Files & Ratings
3. Loans
4. DFW
5. Budgeting & Bank Accounts
ThanksI'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly, and I can move and merge threads there. Any views are mine and not the official line of moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I posted earlier, but must have forgotten to actually hit 'post'! Afraid I have to withdraw my offer due to things that have now arisen in my home life which will occupy lots of my time. Sorry.0
