I'm in this week. Black dog prowling, so I'm trying to keep it at bay.

Not had time to read the thread, so sending hugs and support as needed.

Thanks Natty for putting up the lists :)
  • Hello everyone,

It's Wednesday lunchtime and I'm only just on here to say I'm in, and thanks for the list Natty! Better late than never. I'm finding that now I work full days on Monday and Tuesday I don't have time for much else. Thanks for asking ATB, I'm fine x

I've read the thread, and tried to take everything in, but failed. I should use Iona's trick (I think it was you) of writing everything down.

So, I've remembered some things. mrsmp, not sure what's happened, but I'm sending you a large hug, and another to Donna xx
lynne glad you had a good holiday, and Valli happy belated birthday.
Narco hope you enjoy the dancing. There is no way on this earth I would get Mr Biscuit to do something like that, so well done!
Ishtar have a stick for the dog x

Right, I've had an early lunch, I've already walked the dog (and had coffee and cake) with friends, so now I'm going to blitz the daily stuff and start the lists until two, when I'm going listening to readers at school.

    See you all later x

  • Just back from work, I've cleared some space Lynn
    Thank you everyone.

Trying to decide if I'm going to fill that job application in, the deadline is tomorrow.

Got to turn the wardrobe doors tonight and finish the last side of all three then hopefully get them rehung over the weekend. That should be the bedroom finished. Then need to resume the landing glossing.

    But first a cuppa

  • Bossy bet your kids love the idea of you doing homework!

Tired. Think the bad nights sleep is catching up with me. Really really didnt want to do anything when I came home from paid stuff but I thought of you lot, gritted my teeth and dragged the hoover out. Our bedroom hoovered and dusted and the bedding washed. Utility room was filthy so that has been hoovered and swished. Spag bol made for tea and a general tidy around.

I want to try and do a bit of paid stuff on job no. 2 before my gym class. Will have something to eat first.
  • Hi everybody

    Hope things going ok.

Have done dusting and fed wm/dw and looked busy when everybody came home :D

Just need to walk dog before it gets dark so best get a move on.

    Hugs to all

I have spent the day doing anything but what I intended. However, it all needed doing urgently and is now done. The rest can wait until another day. I have:
    • scrubbed the front steps which were minging, covered in green sludge and it was being tracked into the house on people's shoes,
    • desaucered the pots on them, scrubbed them and stored them for the winter,
    • put pot feet under the all the pots inclyding those on the sundeck that were drowning,
    • fed and watered the tree for which I am a tree warden because it's got two new leaves and is going to survive after all thanks to a bit of TLC when it was best described as 'a bit crispy' by the tree expert three weeks ago,
    • along with newish neighbours picked and divvied up all the pears and apples,
    • swapped a bag of apples and another of pears minus seven with the neighbour that doesn't like apples and will only eat seven pears with him for six jars of microwave strawberry jam (yessssssssssssss), because he doesn't like chutney, which was what was on offer,
    • sorted through all of our apples and pears to see what needs dealing with urgently and what can wait
    • made the bases of four small apple crumbles, three for the freezer and one for OH and I tonight if he gets cream to go with it using the apples that the birds had taken chunks out of, were bruised or were otherwise not keepers,
    • prepped supper so that I can watch the whole of Bake Off, not just the second half because I'm carp at timing when I'm cooking and we should eat at 8.00pm, but more usually 8.30.
    Better is good enough.

I had a "crispy" magnolia that didn't bear a leaf for 2 years but I never gave up on it - it's now a beauty and I've had to trim it back a little :)

I also have apples left to pick, a weekend job perhaps, with a child on my shoulders ;)

College was good, today. Had some thinking to do, did I want to change course sessions, or even go up a level. But decided to stay put. Day times are better for me, and I don't think rushing myself through two years instead of three would be the best idea.

Haven't yet cleaned up after dinner _pale_ and I can hear singing from upstairs (lol). I think my post last night got eaten by mse gremlins, but I had a bit of a grumble about DS and school, but worry is over, I gave him a pep talk and at 3:30 he came out buzzing, had joined in a lot more and gained 18 stamps for his extra effort! He's really pleased with himself and wants more of the same tomorrow!

Flying minimal today - will make up for it tomorrow but I need to go buy some birthday pressies too...

Wind is howling here - front door is locked but if it wasn't, it would have blown open by now! Glad I fastened my little fake box hanging baskets on with cable ties or they'd be bouncing down the road by now!
