Just back from school, spent some time in DS class to get a feel for their reading objectives. I was a bit cheeky and asked why he only has half the stamps the other kids have - quietly of course. She says she does forget sometimes but surely she doesn't just forget his - as I suspected he is quiet in class and doesn't put his hand up much - I guess he's a bit invisible... she did say his work isn't behind at all so no concerns there. Ill have a chat with him and give him the choice - if he's not bothered for stamps then that's ok, some kiddies are quieter than others. But if he does want them then he will need to practice speaking up more...
LR tidy but will dust n vac after my cuppa.

Morning
Today is a work day..but my phone and front door plus Zack have been competing for my attention all morning so far and I haven't managed to even get my shower yet so I'm sat here in dirty clothes as there was no way I was seeing DD out while just in my pjs as I was cold. In fact it's been that busy this morning, I've only just finished my breakfast which I made at 8am!
I was going to go to Mr A, but I think I'll put the breadmaker on instead. I have 2 bags of bread flour which need using up and thats the only urgent thing on my list since I went on Sunday. Plus its quicker and cheaper :rotfl: If I make a big batch of dough, I can split it between two pans and whack them in the oven, also warming the kitchen up at the same time...

Scrap the breadmaker plan, just got the bags of flour out the cupboard and they're mouldy  I guess its time to be putting the disposable dehumidifiers in the cupboards again (I have to do it every winter as the wall is north facing and gets NO sun) but having the hob right next to the cupboard doesn't help!), and it'll also teach me to put the bread flour in plastic tubs like I normally do. I haven't done any flying today, been waiting in for a carpet blokey to come and measure up for a replacement from where the pooch chewed. I was told 10-12, so he has 3 minutes to get here!
All the rooms are tidy so it will be just a quick wipe and vacuum, but I have work in a couple of hours and lunch to cook, so if he doesn't get here soon I will run out of time.
Looks like I will be playing catch up all this week.
((Hugs)) to those that need them.

Is "sewist" a real word, HB?
Yup. Guitarist, pianist, sexist, sewist.Scrap the breadmaker plan, just got the bags of flour out the cupboard and they're mouldy  I guess its time to be putting the disposable dehumidifiers in the cupboards again (I have to do it every winter as the wall is north facing and gets NO sun) but having the hob right next to the cupboard doesn't help!), and it'll also teach me to put the bread flour in plastic tubs like I normally do. I'll be going to Mr A later then
I had a total failure of a loaf a couple of winters ago, Nicki, and discovered a bit of information about not storing bread flour in a cupboard on an outside wall in the winter because of the drop in temperature. No failures on that score since.
Busy unpicking here. [STRIKE]Sewist[/STRIKE] Unpickist.Better is good enough.0 -
