YL I tend to agree re teen boys and housework. Dh will help if given specific tasks and he does try but I find myself redoing things when I think he's not looking (like rehanging badly hung washing up peoperly etc) so it's quicker to do it all myself but it does make a rod for my own back.
Had a lovely long natter with my mum, so need to crack on now.SPC~12 ot 124

Right! I'm back on board this week! Last week was just such a MEH week! LOL
This week will be tricky as I'm on the road a lot for work again (apparently I'm starting at 6:30 am from my house tomorrow morning :eek:) and on the road again on Thursday but I'm also on daughter duty so not quite sure how I'm going to juggle that!
Anyway I'm aiming for level 1s every day, hoping for level 2's and then crossing fingers I can fit in a few EMs and level 3s lol
I DID manage to catch up all my laundry and folding everything except 2 loads still drying yesterday - go me!!!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Happy belated birthday Valli.Hoping our lovely CY and my sis both get some strength from somewhere very, very soon.
I need to be better by tomorrow, as Harvey and Charlie are arriving.Just had a call that Poppet starts her socialisation classes on Thursday so I suppose I'd best get her used to a lead, she hates her collar!
I shall go away and be quiet now, as it doesn't look like I'm going to be up to much Flying this week.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW, I have a harness, the smallest you can get (probably for a kitten) but it's too big at the moment. Fun times ahead.
Just finishing the paid stuff which went better than I thought it would so I am calmer. Also helps having a puppy on my lap.
Tonight the only flying will be preparing tea and then clearing down an old book shelf to make room for a new one being fitted. Bet DH doesn't get rid of any books though.
See you all tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Tea is prepped, couple of cabinets swapped over in our room and the kitchen start on. More phone calls made, moby (located in landy at Dh work), I'd left it in there after we went out last night. Recycling sorted and put out.SPC~12 ot 124

Evening all.
Our kitchen looks like I've had a cookery class in there as I decided to do some baking. 4 dozen fairy cakes later and DD has some treats for her packed lunch, and I'm making inroads on the baking goods stash. I was going to make twinks but it was more important for me to get tea in the oven lol I also wanted to make gingerbread but we have no ground ginger so I've added that to my list for Mr A tonight
I've just put the 3rd load in the WM (I waited until DD came in so I could wash today's shirt), but need to wash the cleaning cloths before I can properly clean the kitchen, so that's going to have to go on tomorrow list of jobs. I best go and fold this load of washing :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
All done here. DS is over the moon about his money
he said he might spend £10 if he sees something he really loves, but the rest is being saved. That's ma boy
Disappointing chicken for dinner, lol, I thought 2 big chicken legs would be tastier and give enough meat for the 3 of us - but it was a skinny chicken - although it was juicier. Next time I'll look for breast with the skin on - can only ever find them skinless and it goes a bit dry. Ah well, I had extra roasted veg so can't complain too much.
Used my 15min quickwash function after kiddies were splashing dirty rainwater over each other on the way home. Clothes not dirty per se but I thought I'd rinse off uniform - it was already wet through so it may as well be rinsed before put in airing cupboard to dry for morning.
Cleaned up after dinner, directed a bit of homework, played a few rounds of charades for the insane (!) then we did bedtime.
And that's that really. Need to make some butties for DS for tomorrow but there's nothing else that needs my attention tonightBossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
I'm in - thanks Natty :A
