We stayed at Days Inn Waterloo in November and didn't pay any tax ... I'd query this again....

  • The only tax on hotel rooms that I'm aware of is VAT at 17.5%. On a room rate of £0, I work this out to be around £0.00 so I too would query it again.

  • Thanks to the OP. Just got myself a free night at Days Inn Stansted in February :-) For info I found the room cheaper at Hotelclub and got a response from Days Inn within a couple of days of submitting my claim.

  • Has anyone had any joy lately? I'm after hotels in london for 4th and 5th of April but really struggling to find any cheaper prices that dont include breakfast.
    Any help appreciated

When you are looking for a cheaper Days inn rate elsewhere, does it need to include or exclude breakfast? I don't want to get declined the free room over breakfast.

Also, what sites have people had success with comparing the price against?

  • I'm bumping this up as I'm still in need of a bit of help/advice in getting a room in london for 4/4 and 5/4.

Any help appreciated. Or details on any other best price guarantees.

    Cheers

  • Hi barriejohn,

Hotelclub are offering a double room at Days inn Waterloo on both nights (4/5 April) at £85, on Days it's £99. I've had a free room from Days accepted using Hotelclub, so worth a go? Only difference is that Hotelclub includes breakfast, but surely that's even more reason for them to accept it!

Maybe try one night and if successful get someone else to the other night?

I hope this helps and let us know how you get on!

    Sarah
  • The Waterloo hotel isn't included as far as I'm aware because it's a "Days" and not a "Days Inn". It would either need to be the Westminister branch or Hyde Park.
