I hope it's not too cheeky to link to my seperate thread here, but it does concern Accor's own (alleged) "Best Price Guarantee" (price match plus 10% extra discount) - I'm currently having serious issues getting them to acknowledge what seems to me to be a cast iron claim under it.

Basically they seem to be saying that even though the room type (standard), length of stay (3 nights) and number of guests (2) are the same, they can't honour my cheaper rate from lastminute (£240 v £360) because they're different "rate types" - which I thought was the whole point of the guarantee - if you found a better "rate" / "price" then they'd honour it. Apparently not with Accor, so beware!

Any assistance which can be offered either in this thread or the one I started would be gratefully received.

Apologies for the slight hijack, but I hope it's relevant to the topic of this thread. Cheers!

In case anyone's interested, Wyndham (parent company of Ramada, Days Inn, etc) are changing their Best Rate Guarantee completely, effective 1 April 2009. Details HERE.
