Just come back from my free stay at Bolton and it was honoured by the hotel. Having said this, they did try to charge me full rate and were slightly taken aback when I presented the print-outs of the bookings page off their website with price showing 0.00 and the e-mail confirming my free stay from Wyndham Worldwide.

came back from my night as Ascot. they allocated me a "superior room" which was situated next to the wedding disco. anyway half an hour of listening to the kids and the chatter of wedding smokers and i changed rooms and they gave me a standard. watched a movie (clean) and they only tried to charge me my bar bill on the way out so no arguments there,

lets hope the gatwick is just as easy

Well, as expected Ramada Gloucester charged me the full price for my room when I checked out on Sunday. I suspected they might do as having received confirmation form the red-breasted one I tried contacting the Gloucester hotels revenue manager a number of times but he appeared to be ignoring me hoping I would go away. I presented the receptionist with the e-mail confirmation from Ramada but they wouldn't have any of it because their revenue manager had already put a note on the system under my reservation stating that my offer had been declined and I wasn;t to be given the free night.

Deciding there was little point in arguing with the receptionist who would hardly go against her bosses instructions I paid anyhow. Luckily I had an e-mail from the red-breasted one before I stayed confirming that if there was any trouble I should fax him the receipts and I would be reimbursed in full, so that's the next job!

Well spent a very pleasant night at Ramada Chester on Friday night... it has a fairly good (small) pool, sauna and spa bath! Got my free night... they cheekily tried charging me but no arguments when I said it should be free... :j

Just so folk know breakfast is £8 per head if you book it when you arrive (more if you leave it til the morning) and was actually a pretty good buffet all you wanna eat job...

Hope everyone else enjoys their stays at their respective hotels... wish i'd booked some more free nights now,; definitely worth the effort!
