  • Well, just got in and received the response I needed from Ramada Chester, Revenue Manager: :T

    Mr mountainchrisriver

Many thanks for your email. Firstly please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you, however I have been awaiting exact clarification on how to proceed from Jarvis Hotels, whom are our parent company.

I have now been informed, that on this occasion we will honour your free night stay.

I look forward to welcoming you to the hotel

As GlennTheBaker stated in an earlier post... I should bloody well think so too! :rotfl:

Suspect there has been a fair bit of high level to and froing today!!! Hope everyone else gets similar results... :D
  • Sam Bee...

I would forward the email from the Red Breast to the hotel to get a confirmation that your free night will be upheld... then you will have peace of mind that they won't try and charge you! Pop in your email something along the lines that if they still have any issues or wish to query T & C's then to contact the Red Breast direct... Did the same and got a positive response from Chester (see post above).

    Good luck! :D

note, if anyone is still being told the room isnt free, call the revenue manager of your hotel and ask them whether they have received direction from head office. I assume that HQ in america has confirmed to UK hotels that they will settle accounts.

Right, how about a totaliser of how much money's worth of free rooms we've all got?

    I'll start with 5 nights totalling £657 :D

Sadly the actual cost to the business of an empty hotel room in most hotels is only about £20-£30  (Average of course)

If the hotel were full and they were turning people away then their revenue would be affected by these free rooms to the tune of the rate we've all got.

    Either way my rooms cost £150 + £79 = £229.

    £300 for me.
  • £265 for me

Had an email off boy wonder saying the hotel might not let me have my free night blah blah blah and to fax him my receipts if not. Might chuck in a few other receipts for my beer and say how Ramada drove me to drink. You never know
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

I had standard email from same guy over at Head Office yesterday saying we have confirmed your best rate free night may not be honoured (Hyde Park) - and if it wasn't to pay and send receipts etc.

I'd booked 4 x exec rooms in a giddy moment on the 1 booking (going away with mates) and so had one free and the others to pay for. Instead we managed to book 3 x free DaysInn rooms and 1 at normal price. I'd not cancelled the Ramada booking as I wanted to see what - if anything- happened. Anyway - following his e-mail yesterday I tried to cancel the Ramada booking - put my confirmation number in and name ... and surprise surprise there was no booking available to be retrieved.

I've written back saying that I wanted to cancel the booking, and that I had a room booked at a partner hotel and hoping there wasn't going to be the same problems there.... awaiting response....
