Well I've got a reply to my e-mail!!Dear Mr ,***** ******
Thank you for your response regarding your best rate claim.
Unfortunately I can only reiterate that on review the comparative web site that was used to make your claim was offering a different product where the room rates offered had different terms and conditions attached.
Therefore I regret that your claim is not valid.
We do continue to hold your reservation, as detailed above on a provisional basis.
If you still require this accommodation at your confirmed rate of £125, I would be grateful if you would confirm that this accommodation is still required. If you wish to guarantee the accommodation for late arrival please could you confirm this along with you credit card details.
I do apologise for this misunderstanding and trust that we will still have the pleasure of welcoming you to our hotel.
Sincerely,

..so basically not a reply at all!!! He hasn't even made an attempt to answer it, he's just completely side-stepped the question and repeated what he said last time, I've emailed and told him that as well.0 -

It's not the hotel's fault they're obeying orders from the Wyndham group.
Phone the hotel up and ask for a high up contact (who is assumingly issuing these orders).
You may get a different name than I did.
If so then 'we' can attack on different fronts and kick up a stink.0 -

Well I've just got back from my stay at Chester and got stung for £104.00 (paid strictly on an "under protest" basis).
I will be getting this money back by whatever means necessary - let there be no doubt about that.
Frankly this company is nothing but a bunch of rip off merchants. I've stayed in better hotel rooms across Europe for a quarter of the price.
What has infuriated me even more is the receptionist's total denial that free movies were included in the price of the Executive room.
Here is what the website says:1 Double Bed Executive Room Best Available Rate
Smk-Executive Rm-1 Dbl-Flat Screen LCD TVs/Comp Movies/Comp Mineral Water/12pm Check In
1 night (1 Room): GBP 104.00
Yet when we asked her how to activate these free movies she denied they were included in the cost of an Executive room. I told her what it said on the website and she continued to give a stony and rude "NO".
The situation reached stalemate, so I just gave up arguing with her.
So not only have these crooks stung me for £104, but they haven't even provided what they promise on their website.
I can't believe this company is still in business if this is how they treat customers spending £104 a night.0 -
no free !!!!!!? disgusting!0

I've had 3 replies from the Revenue Manager at Chester - all exactly the same as the ones others have received. I've replied again asking him what he means when he says "the comparative web site that was used to make your claim was offering a different product where the room rates offered had different terms and conditions attached" and asking where in the T&C's in force at the time does it say that this would invalidate a claim.
I've had nothing at all back from Ramada Customer Service. This space has been intentionally left blank0 -
