My two claims are £0.00 still but the Executive double is now showing as a Double.

I spoke too soon! I've just received two emails regarding my two reservations for Chester:

Dear Sir/Madam,

You recently submitted a claim to Ramada Hotels on the Guaranteed Best Rate programme and were advised that your claim was successful.

Unfortunately on review the comparative web site that was used to make your claim was offering a different product where the room rates offered had different terms and conditions attached.

Therefore I regret that your claim is not valid.

However we continue to hold your reservation, as detailed above on a provisional basis.

If you still require this accommodation at your confirmed rate of £ 139 , I would be grateful if you would confirm that this accommodation is still required. If you wish to guarantee the accommodation for late arrival please could you confirm this along with you credit card details.

I do apologise for this misunderstanding and trust that we will still have the pleasure of welcoming you to our hotel.

I've now had the same email regarding my third reservation at Chester. Just waiting for my two at Newton Park to get booted out now.

What authority has this ******** got over the Ramada Worldwide reservations?

Blimey, I'd not realised that it was only Chester that we were having these emails from. I'm going to email Ramada customer service and try to find out what this ****** is up to.

I have a contact who works in a hotel chain.

The manager of this hotel is very tight with the budget as the size of her annual bonus depends on the amount of profit the hotel makes.
This bonus last year was £20K :eek:

They have a best rate guarantee too. My contact made a mistake loading the rates into the system and bottom line was the Hotel web-site rate was more expensive than Late rooms.

A customer put in a claim to Head Office after he'd booked from the hotel web-site and found that Late rooms was cheaper.

Head office made the hotel lower the rate to equal that of late rooms (as per the guarantee) and also fined the hotel £200 for the mistake.

Manager not happy as her bonus target was reduced.(she is so tight that even 'losing' £200 + room rate difference is a major temper tantrum).

I suspect ****** is trying to save his bonus.

How many rooms does he have to give away to MSE's?

Maybe it was up to him to make sure their rates were the lowest around.
-I know my contact has to ensure this-or else!

I'd be surprised if he has the authority to override this best rate guarantee.

Well my one and only claim for a night in Ramada Chester has been scuppered like many others on this thread... copy of the email I received today: :mad:
