Good to have something in the pipeline to look forward to

Hi Cumbria - re Pilates - I'm giving it a miss for now as my once a week class wasn't really enough plus I decided to put the £40 session cost into my pension pot.
Plus I wouldn't be able to do it anyway lately as I sprained my wrist really badly last Saturday! my friend came to stay last weekend and we were having a lovely time till I tripped over! I didn't think much of it to begin with but we went out to dinner with some other friends in the evening and it was really hurting and uncomfortable by then. My friend and I ended up at the A&E till 2am! I was X-rayed and luckily it wasn't broken. I had to go back to the hospital on Monday and they said I had chipped a bone but basically it was a bad sprain. So I've been off work all week but not really under circumstances that I would like!:(. I've also got scabby knees like a 5 year old!
It feels much better a week on but I've kept the support on my wrist and have been doing exercises the physio gave me. Eye opener on what you can and can't do with one hand! Back to work though on Monday.
So positives:
- it could have been a lot worse.
- PA has sprung into life and from £4.45 on Monday I'm now up to nearly £19!
- I received the State Pension statement I ordered a few weeks ago. Wasn't sure if I needed to top up contributions but I rang the Pensions Forecast department and they confirmed that if I stay in work until retirement in 2021 I won't need to top up and will get full pension!:j
- all my pension transfers to my work pension have now completed.
- £18.50 received from dress agency.
Will be back later to catch up with diaries.

Thanks for all your good wishes peeps.
Yesterday afternoon I decided to have another (this time ruthless) look at the drawer that holds my jeans, leggings and camisole tops. As I fold them all Kon Mari style it didn't make my wrist too uncomfortable. I kept all the camisoles - three black, two white and two chocolate.
Re the leggings, I have three pairs that are for "dressy" occasions - stretch black velvet, black silky with diamente on the cuffs and a dark red/black brocade pair. All kept as I do wear them. I also kept the other leggings - two black, two navy and two old pairs that I keep for mooching around the house and doing the housework.
On the jeans front - I only tend to wear skinny jeans now and realised that I've been keeping back other styles that I haven't worn in months. So one pair has gone into recycling, two went to the charity shop and two I took into the dress agency.
Re the skinnies that are left - annoyingly I have four pairs that if I dropped just a couple of pounds I could fit into - and the majority of these are nice and light coloured - just right for summer. So good incentive to knuckle down - I think losing half a stone to begin with should do it. The other wearable pairs are dark coloured apart from two white. So in order to possess a summer pair I can actually wear now, I've ordered a peach coloured pair from Marisota - I had a 10% off and free delivery code, plus they were in the sale, so only paid £13.05!:)
The drawer now looks lovely, neat and Kon Mari'd!:D - today I'm having a go at the drawer below!
Might see how ironing goes as well - have left it all since the wrist incident. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Ouch - hope the wrist recovers quickly.
I really like admiring the completed drawers after the sort and fold. I wish I suited skinny jeans though - they take less space! My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thanks redo.
I'm not actually that skinny anymore!:rotfl: But skinny jeans tend to suit me more than other styles now. Since I've put on weight I've developed an apple shape so the weight has settled more around my middle rather than my legs - I'm also quite tall. Therefore I wear skinnies but with tunic style tops to hide the - ahem- more Golden Delicious side of me!:D
You're right as well about skinnies taking up less space - by the way, how is the storing of the 30 jumpers going........:D:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
