Good to hear from you SSG.The interest is absolutely abysmal atm. I very nearly opened an NS&I but didn’t shape myself. I’ve decided to keep what is left after my household alterations where it is for now between Santander and Halifax as there’s so little interest anywhere.I’ve still not done much Christmas shopping and my Christmas cards are still in the shop 😱 I’ve had my first card too....some people are so organised 😂😂. I’m cutting back on presents too. I’m impressed as we ordered a ukelele for my gdd yesterday and it’s arrived this morning- they said it’d arrive before Thursday. She is desperate for lessons at school but they’ve stopped them for now. At least she’ll have fun strumming and singing doing her own thing. And she’ll be ready if the lessons ever resume. The Neom defuser is a real bargainJanuary spends - £587.584

Thanks guys!😀
December 1st today - White Rabbits!Lovely sunny day today though it certainly has turned chilly. 🥶 Today was a bit of a disaster work wise as we had a server malfunction around midday so we were all out of action till around 4pm. I actually put my time to good use and wrote and stamped my Christmas cards! 🎄The annoying thing is that I can't find the money wallets and family cards that I bought in the sales last January!😡. They've got to be somewhere - I looked back on YNAB and I definitely bought them together - all the rest of the stuff I bought then I've found, so I'm going to look more closely tomorrow - I think they could be further under the bed between the suitcases. Wrapping wise I did one present today! - a sparkly Next jumper for DSis's OH's grand-niece. Heart radio seem to be playing Christmas songs every other track so I'm keeping to that station this month! Shall do a couple of other pressies tomorrow and keep this up every day till I finish.Watched the last episode of The Undoing last night. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series although I wasn't keen on the ending. I've bought the book as it had excellent reviews and will see if it differs from the series.Other scrimpy thing I did was take a leaf out of @Sunshine_girl2's book and get my monthly mobile phone bill down last month. I haggled with O2 via their chat bot and reduced the bill from £17.40 to £8 per month for a year. Result!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Good result with the phone deal 👍👍where’s the twizzy money saving Martin when you need it 🤔
Hope you manage to find the money wallets you’ve put away so well. Another organised one with her Christmas cards....I still have bought any.January spends - £587.584 -
Happens every year, I lose something I bought in the January sales. It’s usually the Xmas cards and then when I have bought some more, the missing ones turn up. That’s a great deal you got on your phone contract.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.004

@milann and @amber03 - I just know that I'll go and buy the family cards and then the others will turn up!😡Yes, I was pleased with the phone deal - and I didn't have to bother swapping provider as well. 👍

Run-Up to Christmas - Day 2!🎄
Quite an overcast day today - this morning sky looked quite dark with a strange yellow stripe in the horizon. Didn't rain though it felt really chilly when I went out lunchtime. My hat got its first airing of the winter!
I found the money wallets after all but the family cards are nowhere in sight. 😡
Shops were busy today in the high street on first day out of the lockdown. We're in Tier Two. I posted my cards, went into the Post Office and sent off my one overseas card. Ended up buying the family Xmas cards and sympathy cards for one of my friends and her family. Her sister has passed away after a long illness with lung cancer. So sad - she was only 59. Coming at Christmas makes it even more tragic somehow. Also bought a little Chocolate teddy and some other Christmas sweets that were on offer in the Co-op for a friend's little boy. I've also ordered two cookery books on Amazon for DD.Wrapping job today was quite easy - a bottle of Prosecco for the girl who does my nails and her cousin who is one of my friends. Bottle bags are a wonderful invention! I also wrapped up the chocolate teddy and sweets. I had my nails done this evening so was able to give her the presents to take with her as I won't see her cousin till next year.Spoke to DSis earlier - she was driving little nephew to school when she got a text from the school - two of the teachers had tested positive for COVID so back she went and little nephew is now home for two weeks! He'll be going back to school just in time to break up for Christmas! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
