I’m really going to miss the run up to Christmas this year as it normally starts late November for me with lunches out with friends 😥 Can’t wait until all this is over.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

@Sun_Addict me too. We normally see Santa, family, panto, do a light trail in a forest..won't be doing any of it this year. Although on the plus side it has saved us loads of money.5

Same here, empty calendar , no Christmas markets, Christmas lunch with work, panto etc. However let's hope it's only for one year and we can enjoy all these things again in 2021.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.7

Yes it’s going to be a very different Christmas. What are the rulings on little ones seeing the man in the big red coat and beard......mine would have been really upset if they didn’t get to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Don’t think it’ll be happening this year and children will have to rely on Christmas letters and magic I suppose.January spends - £587.584

I'm sad about missing all the NT Christmas food and craft fayres, but we'll have to find a different way to feel Christmassy. DH and I were wondering whether to get some garden lights to cheer us up.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Thanks @Sun_Addict@DayDreamerandGeneralWaster@Sunshine_girl2 and @milann - not sure what is happening with visiting Santa Claus this year - maybe a socially distanced Santa will be making an appearance in various department stores or permitted outdoor venues, but it certainly won't be the same for children this year. ☹️Rather a muted Guy Fawkes this year in Seasideville - I could hear fireworks going off that evening and also last night, but nothing like previous years due to the lockdown and they all seemed to finish quite early so I think families had just bought a few for their children so they wouldn't miss out. The animals must have been quite pleased though! My monthly Ocado delivery came last night - and nothing was missing or replaced. 👍
I received £17 in M&S vouchers yesterday, plus some reward vouchers for extra points. I'm not sure what to do about carrying on with the Premium Club. I received quite a few free M&S coffee vouchers but I'm not visiting the actual stores like I used to now that I'm WFH and I rarely go into our local town for shopping which has the nearest M&S to me. So I'll have a think and decide whether it's worth the £10 per month. I still get loyalty cash vouchers and reward vouchers through my M&S credit card.Other MSE things - my two year electricity fix with Ovo is coming to an end shortly. I'm going with Octopus on their one year fix as it will be cheaper, plus I like what I've heard about the company and it has an excellent customer service rating - which is always important to me. I've switched through the MSE Energy Club so will get £12.50 cashback in due course.Lazy day today - I've done my small amount of ironing so will be catching up with diaries this afternoon and my reading. Tonight it's pasta with roasted cherry tomatoes for dinner, watching the Strictly results and catching up with TV I've recorded. 👍👍Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Just seen your post @HairyHandofDartmoor - I think garden lights would be an excellent way to buck up the Christmas cheery feeling. I love looking at some of the front gardens in our area at Christmas time and the trees that are draped with twinkly lights!🤩Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I have fairy lights up all year round both inside and outside. I’m also thinking about cancelling the Premium Club as I’ve still got coffee vouchers left from the last lot with no prospects of using them. Will also be watching the Strictly results 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
