Shredding went well @Sun_Addict and @milann👍 I should sort out the rest of my paperwork but have no inclination to do so at the moment.Weather is absolutely abysmal today - It's not stopped teeming with rain since I got up this morning so no inclination to go outside either!Feeling a bit blah today - It's like I'm on autopilot when working and the negative Covid news that more areas in the UK are moving into tighter tiers aren't helping my mood. I can't really see an end to it - as a few people have commented, it's like kicking a tin can down the road.No MSE news to report apart from my monthly Ocado delivery arrived last night. Now that they are delivering for M&S I bought a few of the M&S plant based ready meals for when I don't feel like cooking so the freezer is rather full now.Right - back to work now - see if I can fire up some enthusiasm! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Weather has been dull and damp here too, quite depressing, added to that the no sign of an end to Covid 😩👎I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Waving madly as been AWOL, great to catch upDespite all the cancellations around COVID it’s good to hear you are managing to see friends and a few treats - oooh pedicure !I love a certain well known ice cream parlour on your seafront .... hope it’s doing ok, and tell them I look forward to the day I can have a trip there and to the cockle shed!As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

I envy your seafront - I would love a walk by the sea. Jealous here.
Hope you managed to get some oomph to get your work done and are feeling brighter today.January spends - £587.583 -
Thanks @Sun_Addict, @Bubblesmum and @milann. 😀
Bubblesmum - the ice cream parlour is still going strong - I understand it has done very well in the summer when we came out of main lockdown. I haven't been down there this year as the main seafront has been too crowded. The cockle sheds though are quite near to me - the cockle shed cafe has been well frequented too! Walking on the front in good weather has been a godsend in these lockdown times.Well - what a day today weather wise. I went out lunchtime to meet my friend for a coffee - her turn. We were sitting outside the cafe with our 😎 on commenting how warm it was. I then picked up some birthday cards and vitamins - wow when I came out of the card shop it was like a monsoon out there!☔️. I got absolutely drowned on the way home - I hadn't bothered with my brolly and was wearing a very light jacket. I was so wet walking home that a lady working in one of the shops and who was standing in the doorway watching the flood asked me if I wanted to come in and dry off! When I got home I had to change all my clothes and could wring out my jacket and top! Another lesson - wear waterproof mascara! I looked like a panda!🐼. Full marks though to the Maybelline lip crayon which stayed on through the coffees and deluge!👍
And it's Friday night - hooray! No work for two days!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I love 'drookit' @beanielou!😀. I assume it's a Scottish word for getting drenched! I will use when I next go up to Scotland to visit DD - it's always raining where she is!🤣. I probably won't pronounce it properly though!@doingitanyway and @HairyHandofDartmoor - yep - lots of warm clothes will be selling this winter - I must say I don't really need to buy anything new in this line so at least will save some cash.END OF SCRIMPY MONTH 10Which was today though I got paid yesterday. Have updated all my YNAB pots - I got my special work bonus and have put most of this into my workplace pension - the rest has been allocated to my Ad Hoc Savings.Looking at the monthly scores on the door - pension, Stocks and Shares ISA and gold down slightly (though the gold is up 13.7% since I bought it last September). Property was up though.I did hit the M&S website today - I ordered some of their light grey cable knitted boot slippers as my size is available now - I did order some booties from Amazon not so long ago but they've not worn well and are quite baggy now. I've had the M&S booties before and they wear really well - even when you put them in the washing machine. I also ordered a new bra and panties plus a little hoodie for a friend's little boy as it's his birthday soon. I did have £35 in M&S credit card vouchers plus a Premier Club voucher for extra points. Together with the 20% Sparks discount on women's shoes the final cost wasn't too bad!👍
Weather was weird again today - sunny this morning then turned gloomy with strong winds. Then ended teeming with rain again late afternoon and it's belting against the window as I write.I popped out earlier for a walk and a mooch - I bought DSIs's OH a washable mask stocking filler in a design that I think will be appreciated - £4.99 and the first Xmas present I have bought this year. But I got home in good time and didn't get drenched!I did the housework this morning and had another lazy Saturday as the weather wasn't good. Ended up watching Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' as it's one of my favourites of his. Going to watch Rebecca on Netflix now. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
