@Sun_Addict - the primer sounds like a good idea - my lashes are still long but rather sparse these days. So I'd like them to be thicker as I think it's thickness that gives a 'youthful' look (as evidenced by Mary Berry's lash extensions!)👁
@milann - yes, fingers crossed on the smaller clothes!🤞
    @doingitanyway -  a change of scene did buck me quite a bit!😺

Yesterday we had our firm's quarterly zoom update session as presented by the Big Boss. All sounded positive - our parent company has finally bought the last tranche of shares from our partners and all staff have been awarded a nice little cash bonus in celebration to be paid at the end of the month!👍

Today my new blinds were fitted in the bathroom and I'm very pleased with them - same as what I had before - white aluminium, but nice, new and fresh!😀

Other Extra Purchases Over The Last Month
So these consisted of a new knife sharpener, new saucepans (the old were thirty years old!), new glasses (eyes! 👀), Neom diffuser for bathroom, flowers for my friend's birthday, babygrows for a friend's new grandson and my nice new TV and Blu Ray!
My old TV had gone on the blink and wouldn't turn on. The picture was ok and I wouldn't have replaced it normally but it was quite old and I thought I might as well buy a new replacement rather than spend a lot on repair and then more went wrong with it down the line. The new TV is fab though!  I can really tell the difference in the picture, plus I got £200 off the price at Currys. I then decided to upgrade my Blu Ray as well as I bought this as the same time as the old telly and the new version is great too!

So the extra bonus cash from work will come in useful!😀

Well done on the bonus 🥳 It’s so good to hear of a company doing well at the moment. Can definitely recommend the primer, really thickens your lashes. I can remember in my younger days using face powder on an eyelash brush in between layers of mascara. It was an old technique used by models to lengthen and build up lashes and wow did it work. I can remember getting my eyelashes to touch my eyebrows after a few layers 🤣

@Sun_Addict - actually I can remember doing the face powder trick with my lashes as well when I was younger!  Had forgot all about it!  The Benefit primer has had really good reviews so that will be my beauty treat this month!👁👁

Yesterday I went out lunchtime and had a coffee with my friend. Weather was sunny and warm - we wore our sunnies whilst sitting outside. 😎. Then by about 4pm the skies went black and it teemed down!☔️☔️☔️
Weather a bit nippier today- I went out this morning to have my pedicure - certainly felt chilly around the feet as I was wearing my flip flops as the salon is only a few minutes walk away!  Luckily there wasn't too many people around!😀    And lost another pound on weigh in this morning!
Did the housework but apart from that have had a lazy day.

The Christmas shopping show that we go to every year has been cancelled due to Covid along with the other Christmas shows in London. First time in over ten years that I haven't been. ☹️  Also DSis messaged me and DD as we had booked a Christmas day out on a lovely luxury train in December. It's still going ahead but you won't be getting off the train - instead they're doing a special lunch - we're cancelling as part of the fun is going for the Carol service and having a Christmas mooch around the shops - plus they're only taking £40 off the price. We're all having a think about what to do instead but Covid is having quite an impact on everything.

    Other MSE Things
NS&I have announced their cutting their interest rates in November in their income bond to virtually nothing. So I'll have to have another think about where to put my savings - not a lot around though.
Bright spot though is that I had to renew my contents insurance and managed to get it £30 off.
Hope every one has had a good Saturday. 😀x

It’s such a shame about the Christmas things being cancelled. This year has been truly dire 😩 Well done on the 1lb loss 👏

    Hooray for the bonus.
It makes sense to treat yourself to a new tv and Blu-ray with it. We bought a new one for upstairs a few weeks ago - it has been a Godsend whilst I’ve been hibernating upstairs recovering away from builders mess. The downstairs one has a different now tv box - by the time everything has switched on - and you find the right remote it takes forever - upstairs it’s one click and away we go 👍👍
I’ll have to watch Mary Berry closely - I’d not noticed her extended lashes .
Hope you’re having a lovely weekend

Could you look into a monthly saver with your bank? I have one with the Halifax and the rates are good compared to some. You have to commit to a set amount a month for a year.
