  • That's interesting about the restaurant SSG. What's to stop you lying though and pretending to be local? It only works for honest people.

I'm glad you enjoyed your pamper day, it sounds very relaxing :).

Exactly Hairy - I suppose it ticks a few boxes for the restaurant.

I live in a tier 2 area and went to a local cafe this week for lunch with OH which wasn’t a problem as we both live under the same roof.  Even I could tell there were people meeting that were friends and so should have met up and ate outside(weather was nice) but were inside. Nobody questioned them. Also live near wales and a tier 3 area, Where I quite often go shopping, so I have to stop and think where I can go. Much easier to stay in at the moment.

:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.00

That’s a lot for the annual travel insurance. I only paid £46 for both of us for the year and that’s covering Mr SA for his brain damage. I used Insurefor.com via Money Supermarket. However no point getting anything at the moment as we’re not going anywhere 😩

Hi @amber03 - I know it's very confusing. I have some friends that live quite near but have now gone into Tier 2. We were going around to one of the friend's house soon for a girl's champagne night - but it's all been kiboshed now...☹️
@Sun_Addict - that's a very good price for the insurance - I've been using Staysure but will take a note of your insurers details. I wonder if my high cost is because I've always gone for Worldwide rather than European cover just in case?

I think that might be why. We just go for Spain because that’s where we usually go. I dread to think how much it would cost to cover Mr SA for worldwide 😱

  • I think we all need some pampering these days @doingitanyway - even though nobody got to see my toes this summer due to the fact I live in my trainers these days, I still booked up for regular pedicures as soon as the salons reopened - I can see my nice neat painted toes and it bucks me up no end!😀

Nothing much to report MSE wise since I last posted though I had a nice long chat yesterday on the phone with a MSE friend!😀
I received some paperwork to sign from First Direct this morning through the post re my new bank account and have signed and posted it back earlier.
When I knock off work later I'm going to test out the new shredder with all the paper that has piled up since the old one died!
Hope everyone has a good day!😀

    Happy shredding indeed.
It’s good to talk to MSE friends in real life. I had a long chat with one last week and it was indeed lovely.
Who cares if nobody see your lovely toe nails - you do......and it’s you that matters 👍
