I miss you too when you’re not about. It’s good to hear from you.Hope the COVID tests are negative 🤞
What a lovely client sending you a surprise like that. Are you heading to your dds for Christmas or staying nearer home. All being well we’re going to see my dd and gks. We will stay at home as much as possible before we go and once there will go for seaside walks and just spend time together. Sil loves his garden and will toast chestnuts and we will spend some time outside around his fire pit....weather permitting of course 🤞😀January spends - £587.583 -

Friday all done! Yippee - no work now till Monday!🥳. No snow here but heavy rain all last night and most of today. ☔️☔️☔️ Cold too!🥶
I had a nice surprise today - one of our clients has sent me a Christmas card with a £25 Waitrose/JohnLewis voucher. She had sent it to the office and the post room forwarded it to me. She is a lovely lady - 91 years old but bright as a button.I was due to meet my friend for a coffee lunchtime but the weather wasn't great so we've put it off till tomorrow. She's going to get my Christmas deccies out of her store room for me as well.
DSis messaged me today - she said her and her OH felt a bit rough this morning so they have been for a COVID test seeing that little nephew had been sent home from school as two of his teachers have tested positive. She thinks the symptoms are more cold based but it's best to make sure. So off they went to the local testing centre in a large car park and had the cotton buds stuffed up their noses and down their throats! She said they couldn't stop gagging!Christmas wrapping today - just one present done - black Nike sweatshirt for DSis that she liked. 🎁
That very a very nice gift from you client.
It's a shame we can only drink coffee outdoors at the moment, especially when it's cold and rainy. That's one of the things I miss the most I think.
I hope you have a lovely weekend and get hold of your Christmas decs. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Awwwh - thank you so much for commenting on missing my posts. That's so sweet of you all. 💝Little nephew got his test results this morning which confirmed positive - mind you DSis said he's still zooming around like a whirling dervish!! Then DSis and OH received an email to say that they have both tested positive as well! So they are all self-isolating till the 17th! ☹️ DSis said she quite likes the idea of being off work for a bit, but she still has the home schooling to do which she doesn't much care for!🤣My friend brought round my decorations today so I'm putting these up tomorrow. I ordered some boxer shorts for DD's OH for a pressie but was out when they were delivered. The courier dropped them off at one of our local shops that will store parcels. Unfortunately this one was quite a way from me so my friend drove me up there to pick them up. When I got there I found I had forgotten my phone which had the email with order number and confirmation so they wouldn't release the parcel! She very kindly drove me home to pick up the phone and then took me back again! We then went for coffees and cake which I paid for and said I would buy these on the next couple of occasions we go out! Such a good friend!😀
Our little high street looked lovely today with all the Xmas deccies and lights and lots of people out shopping supporting the local businesses. The Salvation Army brass band was playing and I donated as always. I love listening to them - really feels like Christmas has begun!😀🎄⛄️🎄
Back home my Xmas wrapping for today was the dreaded boxer shorts!🤣
I thought I would settle down and watch 'White Christmas' but my neighbour upstairs decided to play her music. I don't mind and I can't really hear the actual music that much but it's the bass that thumps. If I turn up my volume I can still hear the thumping and it drives me mad!😡. I have had a word with her before and it was ok for a while but it's begun to creep up louder. I went up there and thumped on her door - it was funny because I could hear her behind her front door telling Alexa to turn the music down! She didn't open the door but at least the thumping has decreased significantly!🤣Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Glad you managed to get the parcel at the end of the day.
It’s very inconsiderate for neighbour to have the music so loud. You’ll have to yell to Alexa to keep it at a reasonable level. I’m intrigued she didn’t answer her door.....how did she know it was you 🤔🤔
Have a lovely Sunday 👍January spends - £587.583 -
🤣🤣🤣Love the advice on telling Alexa to turn the music down. Alexa will short-circuit as she'll be telling it to play louder and I'll be hissing through the key-hole to turn it down! She knew it was me milann. Only the five flats and the postman has a key to the communal door of this section of the block and any deliveries or visitors have to ring the bell. It's been a lot quieter today.Apart from putting up the decorations, I've not done much today and haven't been out. No sun but at least it hasn't rained. Gift wrapping today was mask for DSis's OH in a design I think will be appreciated and some White Company Christmas scented cones that DD likes (20% discounted). My little Xmas tree is quite old now - must be 19 years. Still it's just the right size for my living room! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
