Now £349.00 from TESCO Catalogue number: 200-5525 This laptop has a fantastic screen, and for two reasons. The first is that it is 17 inch, this is a great screen size for a laptop, as it makes watching videos, dvds. Secondly, is that the screens quality is great too, which also features crystal bite technology, what this does is effectively make the screen so much brighter, sharper and crisper and makes every thing look so much more realistic.
This laptop is super quick, and can cope with very demanding software and games, it has a AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor
Then again, if you factor in an extra £30 memory upgrade from www.scan.co.uk, the Acer Aspire 7520 starts to look like a much better deal. It is on sale now, in Tesco stores and online at tesco.com.
really love the design of this laptop:beer:0 -

Has anyone else had a problem where the insertion point seems to randomnly jump if typing quickly on the Tesco £399 Acer. Since this has happened to both myself and OH and in different programs (i.e and word) I suspect that this is a problem with our particular machine but wanted to see if anyone else had suffered the same problem.
I am having the same problems with new laptop. Please help0 -

I think you'll find this curser jump is common on many laptops these days and possibly linked to the scroll facility on the touchpad. You can fiddle with the sensitivity controls and get it better, but ultimately the way you drag your finger will be the cause.
My wife has an expensive Sony, I have Benq laptop and Apple Macbook pro - all display similar traits. In fact, I don't use the touchpads anymore, I bought a baby mouse for about a tenner and much prefer it.0
