    Evening all :)
Sad little dog this evening, and sad bank account :( He had to have puppy teeth that hadn't come out when the adult ones came through removed. £244 bill - which would NOT have been covered by the insurance I recently cancelled....

    Apart from that:
HG raspberries with breakfast cereal :)
Did a load of washing and partially dried it on the line before we had a terrific thunderstorm
HM meals from stores, though I did buy some apples and bananas at the market this morning
Walked to post office with ebay parcels, with my trusty trolley :)
Few surveys, and reached the £40 payout threshold on onepoll :T
    Checked banks
Listed precisely one item on ebay - I was not in the mood :o
Hoovered first floor bedroom, bathroom and landing - didn't venture into OH's den
    Picked raspberries and courgettes
Looked at p/t voluntary job application - I have decided that I ought to use my skills and qualifications for a bit more than being a junk dealer :rotfl::rotfl:

Still a few bits to do....
  • Evening everyone :hello:
Hope you're on the up soon Toomuchdebt
Dawn - feel your pain with the vet bills. Imagine the sickener if you're paying for insurance as well as procedures at the vet.
Legomum - you're not burning out are you? I get very tearful when I'm tired and overwhelmed.
So, today has been another full teaching day at work and I marked a set of books before I went home. It's been a busy day so no time for spending or much else money saving wise. I've bagged a nsd and done a couple of things from the annoying jobs list. I've been in the shower, made dinner and just need to pack lunches and enjoy some tv and crafting...
I'd best follow my own advice this evening actually - I'm tired, and therefore tearful so an early night is in order.
  • Hi everyone! This is my first time in a long time thinking about what I'll do to save money this week so I'm starting small!

    - Meeting friend at her house tomorrow for coffee and catch up - FREE
    - This weekend will be a quiet one so may do a day out with our national trust membership somwhere not too far away (petrol) and take a picnic. Sunday just relax at home with the kids.
    - Planning to make some baby food this weekend ready to start weaning my baby so will have a read through my recipe book and decide what to make to freeze
    - online food shop to ensure I don't buy things I don't need/spend too much

I'm feeling lighter and brighter than I have in a long, long time, my energy levels are up and I feel able to do more (even after two bad falls Saturday evening). Also managed to

deep clean bathroom (after stripping paper)
decluttered a few empty boxes for cameras and phones we no longer have along with paperwork that DH had stored in a box under bed
Spent quality time with my oldest friend over a cuppa at home (not oldest in age but length of friendship)
decluttered a few empty/surplus plant pots

Off to bed now, night all xx

Morning guys! Woke up about an hour ago and just sitting here drinking coffee before the house wakes up! 2nd day off of the week before returning to work thurs and fri. This has been the first week I've really felt the benefits of working part time. Can't wait till I finish doing the temping work for oh and then I will have 2 days off one week and 3 the next :D

    Plans for today:

Load of washing on the line
    All meals from stores
Use up half tin of tuna and portion of beans for lunch
Take dgd to the beach this afternoon
Bake jacket potatoes using metal skewers to reduce cooking time. Eat with chilli cooked yesterday. 1 500gm packet of mince was made into a pan of spa bol and a second pan of chilli.
Bake tray of flapjacks while oven is on
Oh taking lo portion of spaghetti for lunch
    Hoping for a nsd
Check meal plan to see what I need to get out of freezer for tomorrow's dinner. Trying to do sc meals on days I'm working
Get bags, clothes and lunches ready for tomorrow
Make a batch of sweet chilli jam (if I have enough vinegar...)
Have a craft session with madam this morning. Also do some dot to dots (practice writing ;)) with wipe clean book
    Continue reading book tonight
Will pop to the allotment later on

Ok that's my lot! Have a great day x

  • La e I was running late for getting home from work last week so oh could go and play football. The ml meeting I had ran over. I walked over a mile in 8 minutes! You can be home in 40 mins if you get a stomp on! Apparently 2x 10 mins of walking like you are late for something each day is all you need for health :D

Yesterday I tried something from the os board - I cooked pasta, from cold water to boiling then once it boiled turned off gas and let it sit in the pan for 10 mins. Perfect pasta, no boiled over yukkiness to clean :T

  • Morning all :hello:

Wow, lots of early posters :waves:

Hope you get some rest later legomum
DNMS how lovely you are getting in to a routine of p/t. I'd love to be able to work p/t (full time pay would be lovely with it too of course :rotfl:) chilli jam sounds lovely, I may make some for Christmas to go with other chutneys and fudge
La e be safe wherever you're walking

    My list for today:
Working out of the office :T this is so exciting for me as my commute is horrendous. Work will buy lunch too ;) plus meeting someone who I would also class as a friend. Double bonus ;)
Final bbq of the season I think, will used stuff we've stashed in freezer from previous bbq
Cheque banking, 2 days til payday :)
Check surveys, FPL and £co. Annoyed I got screened out of a survey yesterday for points equivalent to £15 and then I was pondering on my answers and clicked 'not agree' to next survey so got screened out of that. Boo!
    Quick shower, hair dry naturally
    Pick first red tomato :D
    Water herbs

Think that's about all, enjoy your day. Stay safe if we have another round of storms.
