Morning all,
Foxgloves, very interesting to hear your tips and tricks on freezing. I clearly don't utilise my freezer as much as I should.
My list for today;
- Check banks and YNAB
- Check free postcode lottery
- Bring lunch into work
- Enjoy a free BBQ at work
- Charge my phone at work
- Sort a meal plan for next week (thanks again foxgloves for the reminder)
- Decide what to bake on Sunday. GBBO inspired.
That'll haud me (as my gran would say).
Have a nice day everyone.0 -

Today I have reduced my Virgin Media bill from £32 a month to £25. Threatened to leave due to a proposed increase. Have basically got rid of the phone line (which I don't use) and the tv. Will bring the Youview box downstairs from the bedroom. TIVO basically only had freeview anyway. I hate Tivo's interface so this isn't a loss for me, its a win!
OH accepted a night working job (24 hours) at Asda (he is also a student) which will cancel out any housing benefit we recieve but hopefully we will be £100 better off a month. HOWEVER. Only £50 as OH will keep £50 as pocket moneyMoney money money.

ha ha I was! I usually get 1 or 2 days a month when I'm exhausted and have to go to bed early or have a nap! But usually I either sleep through or get up around 8.30/9. Never done this before and hope not to again!

Evening all
Today I have / will:
Go to market in next town for i) an outing, ii) see if I can find any stock for my business, and iii) buy peppers, mushrooms and a loaf of breadDone, found a few bits to sell, and bought the veg and bread
Load of washing and line dry Done, not much of a load, but some good tops that need a gentle wash. Must get them in shortly!
Make chilli Done, used some of it to stuff a roasted overgrown courgette, which we had for dinner with rice and French beansStill loads left for another time. No wonder my freezers are bursting - I get out a little pack of mince and magically end up with a big tub of chilli to put back in, even though we have eaten some already
Processed a big bowl of tomatoes for use as chopped tomatoes. Used 25%, froze the other 75% in 3 tubs :T
OH picked French beans, and I bagged up some with a few obligatory courgettes and gave to a neighbour
Got a small gammon joint out to cook tomorrow. Also apart pack of puff pastry that needs using - I am thinking rhubarb pie
Listed some more things on ebay, and done a little bit of paperwork for business
Dog walk for free exercise
Scrubbed out compost caddy (indirectly moneysaving as it eventually leads to free compost!)
Still to do: water French bean pots!
Also pick raspberries for breakfast fruit / freezer
Still more washing upDishwasher is on, but there is still a big pile
Not as much done as I had hoped, aiming for more tomorrow!

To do:
[STRIKE]Prep bags, clothes and lunches as didn't do this last night[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]All meals from stores[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Put lamb stew in sc and use timer plug so it doesn't burn/go dry :money:[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Work out mileage for last week and update expenses[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Nsd[/STRIKE]
Make chilli jam tonight
Peel and chop ginger into inch pieces and freeze
[STRIKE]Play games we already have and read library books with madam this evening[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Try to list a few bits on fleabags. Honestly I just cba with it![/STRIKE]
Ok that'll do! Need to finish my coffee and jump in the shower x
phew I made it through the dayproductive both at work and at home - dontcha just love it when it pans out like that?
Not going to make the chilli jam or do the ginger but tomorrow is another day
Have spent 30 mins updating joint/savings account ss so I know where I am. I've had such a palarva with the laptop recently but it looks like it's sorted now. Going to get in the habit of emailing it to myself weekly to stop this sort of thing happening! Looking through my ss I can see I lived on £250 for 4 months :money: (no bills or groceries included - oh supported our living expenses over this period). We went camping twice and to a festival during this period. This is my personal spends including petrol. I think this is as low as I can make it!DF as at 30/12/16

Morning guys
nice one reaching payday Lucky
ziggy it's so nice to read that you are having such a positive time again, long may it continue!
Friday has arrived and we have a jam packed weekend planned! Going to dinner at our lovely friend's tonight. I love spending time with this friend, sadly she lives just far away to mean we don't get together often.
Before that work though!
* go to butchers and pick up ham hocks ordered. Will freeze as won't get a chance to cook over the weekend! didn't do this will do tomorrow
* [STRIKE]checked bank accounts [/STRIKE]- we have £32 left in our joint account till payday next Friday  this is how fine it has been getting. Hurrah to getting paid again and stopping this russian roulette we've been playing! :money:
* [STRIKE]need to pick up a bottle of wine for tonight,[/STRIKE] sweets for madam (trying to cut down her sweet tooth so she's only allowed sweets on Friday & Saturday which means I have to remember to stop and pick some up on a friday!), [STRIKE]and put £10 in petrol[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]all meals from stores[/STRIKE]
*[STRIKE] portion up and freeze lamb stew cooked in sc yesterday[/STRIKE]
* [STRIKE]get in the habit of logging mileage when I get in the car at the start of the day and again when I get home[/STRIKE]
Ok don't think there's anything else I will do. Hope today goes without hitch for you all in the final push to the weekendDF as at 30/12/16

Hi guys
Thanks for the freezer tips! Think I will put them straight into the freezer in future rather than ever bothering with the fridge.
I need to get ready for work quick smart - going to have breakfast in work but still need to sort a tub or porridge to take and to sort a packed lunch.
Got side tracked this am as neighbour texted to say she saw a guy outside last night trying car doors. Scary as we live on a quiet close that is a dead-end street off another dead-end street off another dead-end street so you never see anyone here!
Catch up later
