Prinzessilein - I am not sure that we ever learn this pacing lark, it is just so tempting to keep going when we have a good spell, hope that you are recovering now:D

candygirl - great news about the new specs and hope the appointment comes through soon.

Tink04 - here's wishing the sore throat is better soon. I do buy the GF pasta spirals, but have a teeny appetite and only eat it about once every two weeks or so. Have you tried any new to you ways of cooking potatoes? I don't really like them very much, but find boulangere or dauphinoise quite nice, also often make a potato bake instead of a pasta bake, ham & mushroom, tinned tuna, sliced cooked sausage etc. Tinned potatoes can be quite cheap sometimes and no one ever complains about them when in a bake, also saves a lot of my energy as only have to slice them, no peeling or chopping.
Lamewolf - I hope that you too are recovering from your over work.
I hope (sorry lots of "hopes" in this post) that everyone else is ticking over OK too.

Busy day today, I managed a session with personal trainer, first since accident, he is brilliant and i did all my usual stuff, but at the lightest possible weights/resistance, it was good to gently stretch all the muscles. Then tonight we went to see Fairport Convention, they performed in my small town as part of their 50th anniversary tour, as enjoyable as ever and OH loved it - his birthday pressie from me. I expect to be shattered tomorrow though:(:(

I need to learn to pace myself, rather than trying to do EVERYTHING when I get a 'good' hour or two!
It's the perennial problem for so many of us, me included. I hope you're feeling better by now.

My little pal Fudge has arrived; he's sitting under the computer chair (I've nabbed the pc rather than using the laptop today, as I need to do the finance spreadsheet weekly backup).

I'm making myself finish off that wretched cardigan that I started making last year - I hate doing button bands!!:D Currently working on the side with the buttonholes - I loathe doing those, with a passion. But needs must - it's pointless making any more jumpers, as I can't put them on/take them off without assistance, but I can just about manage with a cardigan.

I don't know about the rest of you but when I have one of those super good afternoons when I feel like I can take on the world and get lots of stuff done I'm always disappointed to wake up the next morning feeling like something the cat has dragged in. When I feel good I have it in my head that it's going to carry on like that. I took the HT shopping for a new coat and trainers yesterday. Today I should be cleaning really, but I've been to the hospital, done the food shopping, made lunch and now I'm just sitting here with no inclination to do anything other than a bit more sitting. I feel like its bed time already!

    Afternoon!

Well I have full blown larengitis! I don’t feel too bad but have no voice and an awful cough and throat! Luckily the meds’ cupboard is stocked up well. I’ve been drinking warm lemonade, something I used to have as a child!

My mum has taken the kids out today as they were in all day yesterday, I was going to go along too but think I’m better at home resting my voice! Got some HM soup in the pan (portioned up and frozen from an earlier batch) and a blanket on the sofa (all the windows are open as the house was full of condensation this morning so giving it a good air while the kids are out) and a box set to watch on TV.

I’m going to attempt my meal plan and shopping list again today, I’m finding it hard doing an online shop as I am really funny with meat and like good quaility stuff but I’m trying to stick to £50 a week is hard! Other items are all basic brands but I’m struggling with the meat so it’s making online shopping difficult!

Hope everyone else is well, I’m totally embracing the chilled out lifestyle and I think the lesss rushing round I do is helping me so much!

Mr LW has just inflicted two DVD movies on me - I can usually sit through one, as long as I have something to do, but TWO in one hit  - I have rather lost the will to live!

  • I'm so sick of waking up and coughing.

This flu is dragging on for ages. I've been feeling ill since the 17th October.:(

I'm not sure if I have to miss my therapy again this week as I'm not sure I will be able to sit there and talk with my throat and tickly cough.

I'm just going to relax over the weekend and hope it goes away very quickly. *Sigh*
