I hope everyone is okay.xxx
I had to get up earlier as I felt like I couldn't breathe! I had such a bad night coughing and spluttering.
One good thing about being ill is that I haven't used any of my Lyrica as I've been taking paracetamol or sinus tablets daily and they must be helping with the fibro pain. The tablets I have left should last me until my GP appointment on Halloween.
I had to cancel my therapy this week as I can hardly speak!
I think I'm going to wrap up warm and go outside in the garden to play fetch with my dog. I feel like I need some fresh air.0 -
Hi today we have playing with toys in the house while I Potter round and tidy up - then I’m off out to pick up my shopping (click & collect) and my lenses. Annoyingly the shop have emailed me to say the mince I have ordered is not in stock ... other online del company’s just sub it for 2 smaller ones but not Asd@ they just assume you don’t want it *sigh* this is why I hate online shopping! I’m sure I’ll manage tho - trying to keep the kids from fighting is a full time job lately.
I’m still full of cold so I’m not planning on anything strenuous today just pottering about and trying to keep the house tidyand clean!
Hope everyone has a nice day and is feeling a bit better!Living the simple life0 -
Wednesday Be careful stopping the Lyrica . That's a med you shouldn't stop without medical advice . Withdrawal can be very nasty so even if you're intending a short break you need to ring and ask to talk to your GP . That's why our doctor has had to build a buffer zone into DDs meds to take into account the times the pharmacy don't have the three she cannot stop in stock .
Fresh air if you wrap up well should help but please ring and check about the Lyrica .
Hope the trip out goes well Tink and you can pick up smaller packs of mince when you collect your order .
I wrote a huge catch up post last night and the darn thing went into the ether ! So for now , hoping all are plodding on .

I sometimes put a folding chair on the patio if I have a very energetic dog wanting a game, so that I can be out there for long enough to wear the dog out.
Meg's too old for that sort of thing; but she's had her morning walk, and we met Rosie, a Spaniel who lives locally, so she's made a new friend, too.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Meg sounds a tough old girl LW . Sending the vibes as Mr LW navigates the NHS and hoping all will be well . I'm afraid I'm too much of a wimp for skyclad especially as the weather turns cold . I love my pjs and flannelette sheets in autumn and winter usually with a hot water bottle to ease the aches and pains .
Well done on surviving the surgery visit Cranky . Been there done there and got the blinking T Shirt . I found that keeping your cool and being polite but determined as you did means things get easier in time . You've shown you wont give in so hopefully they'll remember for the future .
candy If you haven't already decided I'm adding my voice to those who advised you to take your mum's kind offer . Peace of mind for you both .
Elona do chase up those scan results and get your Dr onboard re the long awaited letter . The squeaky oil gets the oil and things can get lost in the system or overlooked . Worth a call to the relevant parties .
This is as long a post I'll do lest it disappear but I'm catching up !

Elona Squeaky wheel gets the oil ! Cranky Been there ,done that !
This is not going well . Typo day .It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Polly I do have a nice warm dressing gown - one with a hood - which I can throw on for letting pooches out for their early-morning wee.
Mr LW has the bedroom very warm, too, and I often end up throwing the duvet off me because I'm sweltering.
I can't imagine wearing clothes to sleep in; I'd think they'd get all bunched up and uncomfortable, as I change position a lot of times during the night. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Among her various diagnosis DD has pcos . DX at 13 yrs old . She's always hot in fact Dr has just stopped anti sweating meds she's been trying this year which worked for a while but no longer do . It gets complicated with the fibro which affects the temperature clock so I often have to point out it's too cold to be going out on very cold days in summer clothing . She's a !!!!!! and turner in bed too and can en d up with the bedclothes all knotted up .
I do get dressed every morning unless really ill .
Hoping Mr LW hears back soon but no doubt it could take some time .I've been giggling at the boat . oars and lifejackets . Sums it up perfectly .
maddie Glad you're on the mend and managed to get out at the weekend . As a child in the 50s we grew a lot of our own fruit and veg plus herbs .Apart from the gardens dad and both grandads each had an allotment . As young children we soon learned why we shouldn't name or make pets of the chicks . I struggled with the idea but some rationing was still in force and my dad had spent the war on the naval convoys collecting food from the USA and Canada to bring to the UK and Russia . He never forgot the loss of life as those ships were blown from the water and the planes protecting the boats were brought down . In our home you couldn't turn your nose up at food ever as he'd seen the people of Russia starving to death .
My little victory was to be excused wartime margarine as i couldn't stomach it , the rest of the time it was eat it whatever it was .

Oh really. I will take one Lyrica tablet right now then as I have enough until the GP appointment next week. I think I only had a two day break, I will have to check back on the thread.
I said before what the receptionist said the other day about coming in to get more tablets so I called the local pharmacy afterwards and they told me to call 111.
Then I went through a whole phonecall with 111 and then they said I have to get my prescription from my GP!
This when I hardly had a voice because I am ill. They were all being bluddy unhelpful! Grr.:mad:Excellent idea; there's something so joyful in a simple game of Fetch, I think.

Wednesday It's worth looking up the opening times of your surgery unless you are already aware of them . Our reception opens to patients before appointment times 8am-6.30 Mon ,Wednesday, Thurs and Fri and Tues 9am - 7-45 (late night appointments) It's possible to call in for various reasons including picking up prescriptions before the Drs start work . Depending on your husbands working hours such an arrangement may make it possible for him to collect your prescriptions if you are unwell yourself .

I've just made potato, cheese & onion flan for our dins; Mr LW is about to steam some carrots to have with it.
Then Meg will want her dins - that dog lives for food!
ETA: You won't be surprised to learn that the medical place never called back. Mr LW will try again tomorrow. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
