Wow, lots of things, too many to respond to. ((Hugs)) to all who need them today.xxx
I felt so tired today and I had to reschedule the GP for Friday. I have a bit of a sore throat too so I'm having a soup/hot drinks/blankets/foot spa/pamper type of day today.:DWEDNESDAY if your doc thinks you need jabs , then definitely get them otherwise if left untreated it can be very seriousThere are other forms of B12 deficiency, some vegans for instance, the symptoms and effect are the same, but can sometimes be treated by taking supplements and diet. As with many auto-immune conditions it can have variable effects from quite mild to very, very nasty:(
It wasn't my normal GP that mentioned B12 injections with fibro because he then checked my B12 level and said mine was fine. I'm vegan so I take chewable B12 tablets regularly.
I just wondered about the B12 injections if for any reason I get deficient in the future. I can't remember where I read that they were extra painful, but obviously that isn't the case.:)pollyanna_26 wrote: »That's why I like the Hygge concept . Oh yes, I agree.:A0 -
I find if I don't wear my specs I can see the dust and stoor therefore it doesn't exist:rotfl:;)
As it is I'm covered with bruises - this time from having young Milly literally walking on me.She's only little, a JRT x Chihuahua, but she has sharp little feet.

If you've done all bar the rib and joining up it could be worth doing just a few rows at a time . I'm more tempted to pick up the cross stitch at this time of year as it's more pick up , do a bit and then put down again . I find with knitting I like to do a fair bit at a time . i remember Prinzess quite some time ago saying to Kittie (I think)
that a few rows knitted was a few less to do . Maybe that would be a way to do it .Not sure it would help much in any case - I'd still feel a Charlie talking out loud. :embarasse
I'm going to have to be strict with myself and get that cardigan finished; I've completed the cross stitch I was doing, and I suppose the sensible thing would be to do the cardigan before I start the next one. I usually do handicrafts of one sort or another when Mr LW wants to watch a tv programme or a DVD; he likes me to sit with him, but just sitting watching the idiot-box drives me nuts.
I got some good news a couple of days back; Cookie the Staffie will be coming to me for her holiday again next August.:o It's a long while ahead, but apparently her owner has booked her holiday apartment already, and I pointed out to her that August Bank Holiday week would be popular, so better to book sooner rather than later, and she's taken the advice on board. So i shall have at least one Staffie next year.
MM cat bites can be really nasty; I'm glad Dearest Dog is on the mend. I'm sure some good health vibes for her won't come amiss. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Wednesday A lot of people seem to have had various bugs that start with a sore throat . DD rarely has sore throats nowadays but did have one over the last few weeks when she felt ill .
A quiet day is just the ticket . I had to change her Drs appt due last Friday as she was too ill to go. As the victims of other people attending the surgery when they are obviously suffering from a virus or similar we never go if something could infect someone else . In the past few months we had two children there at different times with the distinctive "whoop" of whooping cough and one mother telling someone her daughter had german measles! There were two pregnant women in the waiting room at the time but what can you do?
We took ourselves down the little corridor out of the way , DD had very bad whooping cough as a child but not German Measles . When you have a suppressed immune system that is something you are warned to avoid .
With a bit of luck a rest today may help you feel better .
Good news on Cookie LW I predict there will be more staffies forthcoming . Cookies owner certainly chooses you above all else so you are providing very good love and care to all your visiters .
It''s worth donning the BGKs for new meet and greets .
I'll stop making suggestions re Mr LW , he's got his way of thinking just as you have . You've got through many years so all is pretty well apart from a few minor niggles , not a lot of people can say that .
As for the knitting when I'm stuck I sometimes think ahead to the next project and wont allow myself to start that until the present one is sorted . I don't always do it but when I do the relief of not having something occupying my head space is good .

Polly I'm very lucky in having Mr LW here; when you compare with what the Ex was like - well, chalk and cheese doesn't even begin to describe it! :heartsmil He's just finished dusting in the bedroom, bless him. :A We celebrated 14 years of marriage in September. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I just called my surgery and said I was ill so I didn't want to come in and spread it to other people. The receptionist said I had to come in to reception to get a repeat prescription which would mean I would probably see the same amount of people as I would if I was going to my appointment. That doesn't make any sense.
I have to go and get Lyrica as it runs out over the weekend and I have my therapy early Monday morning as my husband is starting back at work. Oh well, I will sit as far away as possible from the other people in there. Hopefully it might be gone by tomorrow afternoon.2025 GOALS

I have a duff immune system for which I receive replacement therapy and hate being in places where there are people coughing and sneezing. I wear draped scarves a lot as I hate being cold around my neck and pull it up around my neck and lower face (as if I have toothache or something, or have a tissue held over my nose and mouth as if I have a cold, don't care how it looks, my health is more important than what others might think:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Hi Polly and fellow posters
I'm still reading daily. I'm on week 3 of the Amitryptiline to help me sleep so that hopefully I can wake feeling 'refreshed' and then take pain meds through the day !!! How's it working for me? Not fantastically at the moment. I have been having the most horrendous nightmares from time to time, whereby I have woken myself up and not gone back to sleep incase I go back into part 2 of said nightmare. I don't remember them being like this when I had them 6 years ago and I don't want to dismiss them without having tried them, because I know they take a couple of weeks to get into your system, so will follow through till the end of the monthly course and I think I may end up going back to doctors for a 'what's next' call.
I'm still in my nightie and dressing gown. I know, how pants am I? but you know, I feel sssso tired. It's been a manic few weeks in work due to managerial changes and I'm meeting myself coming backward. I had booked yesterday off 8 months ago (:bdaycake: ) but turns out others in the office totally c**ked things up, which meant there would have been no-one in from our department and I ended up going in... and then I ended up having to work late too!!! What made it worse was that one of the offenders rocked up and said they must have got the date wrong but it was right on their out of office....to which I replied 'well knowing you were off for 2 weeks, I had no reason to write to you, so I wouldn't know about your out of office). I could have screamed. Nice part of the day was youngest niece made me the most fab-u-lous cake from scratch ... with butter cream and fondant icing. I was so impressed, it brought a tear to my eye. She truly is amazing and only 13. She had been picking my brains on doing cake two days earlier but foggy brain here, didn't pick up on it. Haha, you could be robbing the bank of england and I wouldn't be aware of it lately, I'm being that dozy.
Lots of falls, bumps and colds on here at the moment. I hope you are all managing to reduce the bump size, heal the wounds and feed the colds. We are a pretty resilient bunch but good to know we can bounce our thoughts off one another......oooh maybe I shouldn't have said bounce ...there goes another injury :rotfl::rotfl:
Big hugs to all. Stay warm and keep smiling xI got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0
