Hi September Super Stars,
Thanks for the Starter CCL.
So the wee geek is recovering slowly and enjoying three days off at Dowd Towers. The only on-grid stuff I'm doing is the MSE Forum, all my other cyber-stuff is on hold for now.
My knee is officially smurfed so it's splinted and I have the weight off it til it heals and am getting free physio from DW.
Having loads of couple-time with poor neglected DW and loads of sitting on the sofa too.
But I couldn't stop thinking about you guys, I think I'm a 'MSE addict'. :rotfl:
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Do RMSurveys.
* Bought a new packed lunch box for £2 for work. Hoping it will inspire me to eat every packed lunch I take with me rather than not eating properly.
* Read meters. Energy company is reducing our Direct Debit by £7 a month as we have a surplus. When we moved in we were spending £101 a month on energy, now it's £51.
* Did Tesco Orchard. Free fruit and 25 Clubcard points for one review.
* Still waiting for big tv to be repaired. Perhaps it'll be done today.
* This afternoon we are going on a tour of a cut-price tour of a local Distillery. This has been on DW's wish list for ages. Will be paid for from entertainment budget. I'm not massively interested in this but I do like drinking whisky and DW will be happy.
* Added more vouchers to the Decemberfest stash.
* Bought multivitimins "for the over 50s"! They are just regular multivitamins but were cheaper than the ones marketed differently!
Live long, live well and prosper.

Hi All
What a fab weekend I have had. After work on friday a quick spin to a farm sale. Never bought anything. Was very proud of myself. Saturday, awake way before 5. Got DS woken and off to his first milking job. Then went for a lovely lovely day out visiting places like home barga!ns. spent £135 there on stuff for the store cupboards and sugar for making jam. The raspberries are just starting to be ready. I am poised ready like the man from del monte! Sunday a day at home farming, and then pressure washing machines and finally realized why my thread kept breaking whilst sewing, my needle was too fine for the quilt. Hurrah, weeks of rethreading. I will remember this going forward. Thank goodness for online lessons.
Am now back in work with lots of healthy food in work fridge and also home fridge for the week ahead. It feels like autumn outside.
Have a good week everyone and do not let me visit HB again for at least 6 months as my resistance is weak!0 -

:hello: late check in for me. This morning ran away with me
some great looking lists there, mine is a bit feeble by comparison. I'm working on building up as the week goes :rotfl:
Check banking, surveys, FPL anf £co. Withdrew some available funds from £co
£10 made on nest if tables sold, that's £35 in 2 days. Collected this morning
Portioned up all my mu$cle food order and froze
Make lasagne from hm pesto I made yesterday with ys basil
more labelling
Check fleabay items, possibly list some more
Work bought me lunch
DH cleaned kitchen from top to bottom after dust got everywhere whilst he was prepping hall.
Portion spicy root veg casserole I made yesterday for work lunches
DH had left overs for lunch so I'll eat from the cupboard and stretch the meal plan by an extra day0 -
Evening all
Thanks for starting us off for the week CCL, hope your first day back went well
Today I have / will:
Dog walks x 2
Pup to vet's for his booster jab - he was not happy
Vet said he needs to have his remaining puppy teeth removed - he has both puppy and adult teeth in some areas, and the puppy ones need to come out or else food will become trapped between them and potentially cause the loss of his adult onesPoor little chap, feel sorry for him already
OK, he is a bit of a wimp, but he does only weigh 3.5 kg :rotfl:
Nothing spent except for some bargain business stock, pup's jabs and other routine treatments are covered by monthly payment plan (cheaper that way)
Daily post office trip
HM meals from (considerable) stores - used both French beans and courgettes for dinner
Restock day for my physical shop space
Listed more bits for my ebay shop, too
Paperwork for business
Load of washing
Picked another small bowlful of raspberries
Sort out some bits to donate to neighbour's cancer research fundraiser
Parcel to wrap ready for posting tomorrow
Still got some bits to finish off!0 -
Hi everyone
Thanks for the good wishes - first day back was fine. Always straightforward until the kids arrive back tomorrow... Got home to a trampoline needing repair which was really hard work and I now have blistered hands. Thankfully there was plenty of leftover chicken from yesterday for dinner.
Nice to see you Ally - I'm a bit addicted here too.And welcome MTHN

CCL thank you for starting this weeks thread.
MustTryHarderNow welcome to the best place on the web.
Like many of you, I think about this thread and what you are all up to. I often find whilst doing something i have an inner dialogue of what I want to tell you guys, fortunately for you I have often forgotten what I want to mention by the time I get to post :rotfl:
At the weekend a friend gifted us some home grown produce. The runner beans have been chopped and are in the freezer, the marrow is now chutney and all the rest of the ingredients were in the cupboardand the courgettes have been roasted along with some bargain peppers and I will freeze these tomorrow.

Another day another dollar... Just drinking coffee before I jump in the shower. Yesterday I called the Inland Rev and asked about the tax I've overpaid (haven't earnt enough to pay tax this year!) Hopefully I should receive it this month. But there is a chance I won't and I will pay tax againbut it that happens I'll get it all back next month :money: nice little savings account
Small things for today:
* 8p ys bagel for lunchwith fruit and hm greek yogurt
* oh's parental's having dgd while I'm working = saving of £37.50 :T
* ask dil if he would put dgd's bike seat on my bike. Just need a helmet for her and we're off :j
* sort out this s/s tonight... (didn't do this last night as spent the evening removing elderberries from stalks for next batch of wine)
* work out what I need to get (if anything) to make the wine
* book additional go ape place for saturday for ds's friend for his birthday treat
* go to the allotment this evening for an hour and do some weeding and pick anything that is ready - all veg slowed down drastically now!
* this evening will either get my sewing machine out or read my book. Want to stop watching telly every evening!
* post card from dgd to ds (get her to do her scribble thing first)
* need to get some quotes from chimney sweeps before the winter begins and compare it to the cost of buying something to do it ourselves...
* use up the veg! Need to work out what we've got and what I'm going to do with it. Both of the drawers in the fridge are brimming with veg!
Ok that's it I think. Have a great dayDF as at 30/12/16

Morning everyone!!
Well I didn't do the things yesterday (I got distracted by surveys) but it turned out to be very productive!
I got £60 in Amazon vouchers from some market research (focus for people) I did a couple of months ago, £10 Amazon voucher from VO and another from shop n scan. I'm tangling with my conscience as the new Fitbit is coming out, and the one I have, off eBay, has not charged properly for about 6 months. This is something I use constantly, and I've lost 2 stone. But it feels way too decadent to spend money like that on myself. Even though it's "free" money, and I'm not sure what else I would do with that money - Amazon tends to only be used for treats.
So yesterday's things were - I did three surveys for about £3.20 (a good day!), I signed up for the RM surveys - thank you AllyDowd for the heads up, this was one I hadn't heard of.
Things for today -
finally go through the bank statements for the payday loan thing.
Ring British Gas and set up my dd
Buy the fresh bits of veg I need for the week, everything else can come from stock. I reckon it'll be £10 to feed me and the boy this week.
I have a researcher ringing for a phone interview today for 45 minutes (£30).
Have a great day everyone, and let me know if you relate to the spending guilt.0
