He's finding this first week back a little tough, one of his teachers died last week - she was putting a display up at school and fell and broke her leg, she died the next day due to complications - only 41, such a shock and I think it's preying on his mind and reminding him of my brothers death earlier this year.

Yikes. I read about that. :(

  • Well it's been a positive day today for me but checking in now as I will be busy tomorrow preparing for the Great North Run, seeing our local credit union and sending my kittens off to new homes (mum gets spayed next week!). I'm seeing the credit union to get some of my credit card paid off at a much cheaper rate than I'm currently paying. That should save me about £15 a month I reckon.

Today I had a great surprise, I won myself and my son two tickets to see the concert after the GNR, I had wanted to go but at £40 each it was a NO WAY! I won them on a "like and share" on fb. Who ever wins these things?! Well today it was me.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone and a fantastic weekend x
  • Morning everyone. I was so tired last night I went to bed at 8.30! Oh has got a fitbit and I've worn it a few nights to monitor my sleep and since doing that I've felt tired constantly as I'm not getting as much deep/rem sleep as I thought I was! I sleep for a lot of hours (which I knew) but most of it is light sleep :(

    Smalls for the day:

    * load of washing in machine at the moment & hang on line before leaving for work
    * quick shower. Hair left to dry (always do this anyway!)
    * put dinner in sc
    * b/l from stores (I'm possibly meeting up with dd to go for something to eat. Possibly as she hasn't contacted me and more often than not cancels, so we'll see...)
    * nip to aldi on way home & get small top up shop - I think with about £20 top we have enough in stores for another week :j
    * make note of mileage at start/end of the day to update expenses claim
    * put batch of wine on tonight
    * get packed lunches ready for tomorrow & clothes/bags etc - doing go ape with my ds and some of his friend's for his birthday :D
    * pay virgin cc must do this today!

    Ok think that's it

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!

Bah lost post due to incoming call. New phone is carp.
Knackered this morning. Last nights shift involved scrubbing deep fat fryer vents for 2.5 hours. Home by 10 but by the time we'd eaten and got to bed almost midnight. Including school runs and viewings at the shop I am spending my entire days walking. Have to go again in 30 mins. Showing space to a guy who runs workshops. I know I have to keep hitting balls out to get business and therefore pay overheads because the two dont match at the moment but the pace is getting to me. OH is either jointly baby wrangling or doing his job or jobs for the shop. His weekend will be tiling and other DIY there. Feels relentless.

    Good Morning All

Early start for me as had a text to say our Tumble Drier could be delivered as early as 7am, the guy arrived at 7.25 - our old Tumble Drier was at least 14 years old and one of the potential dangerous models, they originally were going to adapt the machine but then offered us a deal that we would have been silly to refuse - a brand new machine (of my choice) with 2 years warranty and 10 year parts, free delivery and they took the old machine away (£99). Anyway enough waffle, today I will
