Good morning from Vom-City...Actually both boys looking much better and have eaten huge quantities of breakfast this morning, so I'm hoping it was just a 24 hour bug. After feeling queasy yesterday, I'm also much better, but taking it easy on the sofa with a cuppa - you know, to keep an eye on the boys :rotfl:

Fingers crossed for a work offer for J Mumof2 x

Sounds like there's a lot of building and decorating happening in Flyland...here's hoping my builders can get started soon too! Caravan living has now reached epic stress proportions, with a water connector splitting last night, resulting in water pouring out from underneath. Good job we aren't on a meter  Must remind DH to get it sorted ASAP.

Ooh, New slippers just arrived...Another excuse to rest up (for a little while, I promise!)

Hugs to dizzy, ATB, Valli, LW, CY and everyone else who needs one.

BM they may not need pe hoodies this week - ours mightn't even do pe and if they do it's warm enough for shorts and tshirt. Might not even need coats this week xx

Cleared floordrobe last night but oh my it's dusty in my room! But we are having a few hours out on our last day before school, so it will wait until later. I've tidied the kitchen, put the wall light fastenings in the right place before papering happens today (yaay!, pics later!) and got my bag together. We may even want sun cream today <hopes>

Wishing you all a productive day xxx

    Morning all

Hugs, sticks and spoons to all.

Didn't get as much done yesterday as I would have liked again. I did manage to clear 99% of the washing, until we both had showers :rotfl: I also cut DD's hair ready for school tomorrow, and just cut the stray bits this morning after she washed it. I'm getting better each time I do it ;)

Today is errands. We have no choice as DD has just shown me her PE trainers (which she wears outside of school sometimes as well) and they need replacing, as do my trainers. Good job we both hate shopping so it'll be a case of walk into the shop, find a pair we like (which are different) and buy them lol. While we're there I'm going to look at some flat ankle boots for me to keep my feet dry. I saw a pair I liked on the website which are like walking boots, but its whether they will rub like my last pair when I try them on. I've also learnt my lesson, leather only footwear for me from now on, even though trainers can cost more if all leather, I value having dry feet over money!

I've got a work deadline to meet so while my phone charges, I'm going to get on with that. DD can do some flying in the kitchen since she decided to have eggs for breakfast so my clean hob and worktops from last night are now dirty. I best get moving. It's going to be a busy day.

Lynne, thanks for the reassurance I'm doing my decorating in the right order. It makes perfect sense how you explained it.
Mumoftwo our house has been waiting years for a paint job, we've created a deadline by booking the carpet fitter. The glossing has been on my toots list for several years, we hung new doors over five years ago and they are/were still waiting to have the edges painting after being hung. The upstairs ones are at least undercoatedd now and I'm working my way round the landing 2 down 4 to go.
Found another roundtuit job when we were moving stuff, a castor broke off the ottoman and we stuffed a clothes catalogue under the end till we got round to mending it, moving it last night we got the catalogue out. It's dated Spring/summer 1998!!:o It's gone in the recycling bag now and a set of new castors is on the shopping list.
Did I just hear someone mutter slattern?:rotfl:

Dizzy glad the kiddies seem to be recovering

Going to grab a cuppa and get ready for work.

That's the sort of thing I do lol If we hadn't moved house 3 years ago I would still have things like that round :rotfl:

I do need to sort out the Toot list though... 3 years and rooms are still not painted - partly because the builders are rubbish and there was no point whilst they were trying to work out how to sort carp out...

  • Right I'm off to work now, this afty I'll clean bedroom window, and do the kitchen list from yesterday. I've almost run out of gloss, I found another tin in the kitchen but it's separated and even after a good stir it's got a cream tinge to it rather than looking brilliant white.

All but two lots of windows now clean (still have downstairs loo and study to do, but both rooms need a deep clean - have to do the loo by friday as I have visitors) and it makes a HUGE difference.

Not that I'm avoiding work or anything :D
