    MY manic monday...

    Manic Monday Kitchen Klean Up

    Level 1

[STRIKE]Get a cloth, hot water and detergent and wipe down handles and switches[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear the clutter (this is probably more a Stage 3!)[/STRIKE] I'm claiming this one - I've decluttered 3/4 of the kitchen which for me is HUGE! (It's also a large kitchen!)
    [STRIKE]Wipe the sides (or worktops)[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Put on at least 1 WM load.[/STRIKE]

    Level 2

[STRIKE]Wipe down cupboard doors[/STRIKE] and small appliances
[STRIKE]Polish the stainless steel bins. [/STRIKE]
Declutter the kitchen sofa and table... (including BEHIND the sofa chair!)
    [STRIKE]Clean mucky stainless steel hub[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Second WM load[/STRIKE]

    Level 3
    Sweep/clean/mop the floor
    Clean the windows

    Bonus

    [STRIKE]Tidy hallway[/STRIKE]

Still going! Cooked dinner, now chasing DD in the shower whilst husbeast has gone out for the evening... he couldn't understand why I got grumpy when I was cleaning and decluttering in the kitchen and he just sat on his butt in the comfy chair and closed his eyes  Seriously! He's been working from home all day which by his own admission was not busy and he only hung up the washing I asked him to this morning when I called to say I was on my way at 5:50!!

    ARGH!!!!!

The world truly hates me. Both small people home after vomiting at school/nursery. Why do they have to be ill on the first day of term???!!!???

    Sorry but :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: what timing!
(mind you I cannot abide vomit - it's why I never went in for nursing or forensics)

Pegged out washing. Cried on lots of people at work today:o

    List going up

  • Evening.

Dailies were done this morning. That's it! Got home from work at 6.30, yelled a lot at children. I didn't want to do this on the last day before school starts but you couldn't see the floor in their bedroom and the kitchen table was also invisible under piles of carp! They have also written me menus (very detailed) of what they would like in their packed lunches. One of the items is "two two inch pieces of celery" On another day this would have made me laugh but I'm having a sense of humour failure. Arggggh. Dd2s PE hoodie has disappeared. I've left their summer coats at mum and dads. DD1s PE hoodie i have just discovered had a massive rip in it. Dishes piled in sink as OH has apparently forgotten where the dishwasher is. dog needs walk.

Aaaaand breathe. Rant over. Im going to go and take the dog for a run, and then will probably feel better.

hugs to Valli and Dizzy xx
CY if you are lurking, hugs to you too xxx

Also does anyone on fb know how piggers is? Missing her and her posts.

    .

I feel for you I really do! I've just rescued 3 mugs from husbeasts office... seriously! He's a grown !!! man! Apparently playing GOW when working from home is exhausting - guess I should be grateful he's picking up and dropping off DD most days at the moment as I might just drop with stress of always being late for work in addition to all the actual work I have to do at the moment!! :(

Oh and yeah the washing up that couldn't go in the DW was still in the sink too, and the stuff I washed last night was still on the side not put away... aaaaaand breathe!!

Donna a toots list is a list of things you need to do around the house. Everyone's is different. Mine for example has "get roof leak sorted", "get gas fire serviced" and "clear out DD clothes". It's named after toots, a true old-style flylady

LR looking glorious - even with the central reservation of decorating gear :D the grey is fabulous...

Dinner scoffed - I'm stuffed - and kiddies watching a film on the firestick.
Thanks bossymoo - I will start working on this list

Evening all and welcome MrsTinks :hello:

Sorry - late to the gate today. Have whizzed through the posts.

Sending best wishes to all returning to work/school, gw vibes for poorly sprogs, sticks for the persistent BDs and ((hugs)) all round.
    ....
Currently glossing, doors and skirting, I'm sure I should have done the emulsion first but hey ho......
No - you're doing it in the right order. Ceilings, woodwork and then walls. The reason being that if you slip over the edges where one meets t'other, because emulsion is water-based you can easily remove it. Whereas, if you do the walls first and go over the edges with the gloss (or similar) you can't easily remove that ;)

Have dusted all through today - top to bottom.
    Finished monthly accounts
Sorted and sent with DH all the recycling
Finally, finally cleared the last paper-work hot spot :j
