  • I hope YorkshireLass is ok, haven't seen her for a few days xxx

Aww thanks hun, wish I could say that I had been whisked off on a romantic short break somewhere but sadly I have been working lots x

Up at 4.22am this morning (tiptoes in quietly so as not to wake the other flyladies). Couldnt sleep so instead of lying in bed worrying about finances/things to do decided to get up and actually sort some of it out. Very productive couple of hours but I suspect this will catch up with me later.

Bossy LR looks lovely and it will go really nicely with the new kitchen.

Dizzy hope the smalls are better.

Back to school for DS2 today, starting his last year. DS1 has a scan on his poorly shoulder this aft. Lots of paid stuff to do as well and a meeting for work tonight.

Good luck to any little ones starting today, I know some schools havent gone back yet.

Right my alarm has woken up hubby who is not happy so I had best make him a brew!

Morning lovelies! Pleased you're OK Yorkie - I was missin' ya too x

Small people seem miraculously better but have to stay home today because of the 48 hour rule. Me too, so we might do some [STRIKE]burning[/STRIKE] baking in the propane gas warmer today.

Caravan water problem fixed and amazingly the pressure in the shower is great! Ooh, maybe I could get to like caravan living...?.....Erm, no.

I'm slowly working through baby bits and bobs for my brother and his girlfriend. Their little one is due the day before my birthday this month, and its a great chance for me to offload my carp!! Have discovered mouse (and rat ) droppings in the attic room, so will be setting traps laced with peanut butter today.

LR looks very stylish Bossy. Cool and serene. I'm well jel.

Kaz - well done on the tax return. Must look at mine....wanders off, already distracted...

I'd been 'looking' at my tax return, since the paperwork started to arrive, but as I've had a week off work, I had no excuses except lazyitis, any way job done and out of the way, TBH once I got logged on and got on with it, it only took about 30 mins or so, as I gathered together all the information first and had it to hand.

I found it always works like that. I need to get the office cleaned up so I can get to the paperwork... so maybe if I stick with this for a few weeks it'll happen :)

    Morning all

Hugs, sticks spoons and vibes to all.

Well this weeks plan is out the window! Went to town yesterday about 12.30, walked there playing p0kemon, went straight to the pier head as someone had posted there was a rare spawn there. Wandered around the dock area or sat at a p0ketop for an hour, went back up into town to the shops but DD was hungry & thirsty so we got something to eat. Went and sat in a park area, DD opens her bottle of fizzy drink by putting it between her knees (instead of putting her food down or asking me to open it) and you can guess what happened.....her jeans were SOAKED and she looked like she'd wet herself, but because we were sat on a granite wall the drink pooled and soaked the back of her jeans as well. So we scrapped shopping and came home on the bus instead. I needed to go with her as she needed the shield from people seeing how bad it was and she begged me to go with her (not like her to do that). I did offer to go to a shop and buy her new jeans or take her too the toilets to dry them but she just wanted to get out of there. It wasn't until we were on the bus that she told me she'd seen a group of girls from her class heading for where we were which is why she wanted to come home. So today's lazy day plan is out of the window as I need to go back to town and get her trainers as well as the other few bits I needed to get for myself :( I'm thinking of the exercise or I'd not go and make her dad take her on Saturday :rotfl:

I did however do most of the shop I needed to do at A & Al (Stuff I forgot on the delivery and the stuff that was cheaper in Al), but some of the items were out of stock (probably as it was 8pm) so I need to pop back for them when I go for milk either tomorrow or Friday. It was fresh veg so a delay isn't an issue ;)

I have the vets tomorrow with Zack (check up) so I'll get some flying done in the morning, before taking him on a long walk to wear him out, then I'll take him the pet shop for a new toy or some treats ;). However this means Zack needs a bath tonight and I'll need to groom him before that.

My plan for Friday is to stay home and either fly or work as I have my delivery coming on Monday, so I'll be working Monday & Tuesday minimum next week, plus a work related trip to town on Wednesday.

I said to DD that things may be a bit chaotic for a couple of days while I get back into a routine, she replied "Things are always chaotic for the first week back at school, and since your delivery comes next week it'll probably be chaotic until October!". Looking at my calender she may be right :o:rotfl:

Aww nicki bless her haha xx

Kiddies happily off to school - DD was very pleased to be there and waltzed in like she owned the place, typical of her utter confidence in herself :rotfl: oh to be so self-sure :D DS was fine too - but I did detect a few nerves underneath.

Back home and I have all the washed bedding out on the line, I have put together spaghetti junction behind the tv (!), washed the fireplace down and brought the two sofas and tables in. They are dark brown leather but actually the contrast is quite nice. Going to live with them for a while I think...

Just having a breather now and then will clean said sofas and attempt to get the rest of downstairs in some sort of order...

    Hugh toad sorted,
Oh dear, Kaz it must be bad if you're giving your Frogs/Toads names now! :rotfl:

Today's efforts have thus far included getting a load of cleavers out of Ronnie's fur. Little toerag goes as far into the undergrowth as he can get to poo, and comes out covered. He's a long-haired JR so it's not an easy task removing them! :D

Not cleaned sofas yet. Called dad to ask if he can fit my wall lights at some point, but he was driving. Step mother answered said they were just passing shall they drop in? (She has not been one for coming in the house for a few years - no idea why!) so they popped in, she had a look at kitchen and LR and dad helped me put the last blind up and pop the mirror back on the wall. He's coming Saturday to do lights :D

Nice NDN had his petrol mower out and so cut my lawn for me. I've washed LR Windows and French doors frames and panes.

Still feel house is upside down though, lol.

School run shortly, then early dinner and football for DS. Kiddies will want a good wash-down tonight!

Must email college, can't get through (clearing, I suppose) and don't know when I'm supposed to be there
