E-on/ MSE Fixed 1 Year Collective Sept 2015 - Stay or wait?

Can I direct this question to the E.on rep please? Our MSE collective fixed tariff finishes on 27/9. We are on economy 7 electricity only (no gas where we live unfortunately). There are no decent switching options via the new MSE collective but I have according to the UK Power website, our best tariff would be to stay with you and go onto the E.ON Energy Saver Plus Fixed 1 Year v1. However, it is not available through their website and I cannot find out how to swap into it, or who the deal is through. Can you assist please? We would rather stay with you, otherwise we will have to switch to SSE.
You cant switch because E.ON are outrageously not letting existing customers switch to their new saver tariffs.0 -

Anything available from another accreited comparison site should also be available through the CEC (unless it is a collective tariff offered by that other comparison site)
In regards to the E.ON Energy Saver Plus Fixed 1 Year v1, where were you offered this?
It sounds like you input some duff info into a comparison site somewhere.
(It's only available via a comparison site, and its for brand new customers only)

Yes, I have just read this thread from the start and can see this was discussed, however it shouldn't come up on UK Power's switching options in that case! It's all very disappointing.0 -

I inputted the correct details into UK Power and it came up with the Energy Saver plus tariff but that it was not available via their website. The Energy Helpline also shows it as being available to us, with no disclaimer that it is new customers, just that it is not available via them.0 -

The MSE/BG offer doesn't appear to offer 'leccy only users a deal. The E.On tariff was the Sept 2015 MSE collective. The saving over the current fix is £13 per year, but once reverted to the E.On standard tariff it's £159 cheaper.
Would have liked to stay with E.On, but sorry Malc you need to sharpen your pencils.
Hello Frozen_up_north and sorry to lose you. Understand what you mean about sharpening our pencils. I've passed this feedback on this morning. Thank you for this.

It says this on UKPower comparison site when I input that I am on a Eon tariff that the E.ON Energy Saver Fixed 1 Year v1 tariff is:Not available through this website. Call us free on

I just tried EHL too, and stating I am an existing Eon customer, it does not offer me the opportunity to switch to that Eon tariff either.
It says:Call us now on:

(or call the numbers and they will help you)
Change your existing supplier away from Eon, and you will see both sites allow you to switch to that tariff0 -
I have been trying to figure out why uswitch, comparethemarket and MSE weekly email say there's a new EON tariff, but I can't see it anywhere! How ridiculous that they won't give to existing customers.
I was on the EON Sep MSE collective but switched in February to the v19. I may have to take the exit fee hit and move to British Gas new MSE collective if EON won't give me the new saver tariff!0 -
It’s a great shame that that E.ON has now joined the Dishonourable Club and is not making this available to existing E.ON customers, even via comparison sites.
(Although I can understand why E.ON has done it – and have even explained it myself in some recent postings on F&W's thread..)
It will, however, come as a particularly hard (and expensive) blow to the loyal E.ON-MSE September 2015 Collective Fix customers who let themselves get rolled on to E.ON’s Standard Variable Rate in the hope of getting a new one from E.ON. They’ll see it as a slap in the face (and the wallet).
Big question is, will this now become future policy on every collective fix by E.ON?
If so, it bodes ill for all E.ON customers when their own fixes end.
The good times seem to be over. I'm glad I fixed for two years, last July.
Be sure to feed all the anger and disgust expressed here back to the higher levels of E.ON, Malc.
But hey, guys! Let’s all go easy on Malc himself. It’s not his fault and it would be wrong to shoot the messenger. At least he had the courage and decency to come here (probably very embarrassed, personally) and admit it, whereas SSE just raises two fingers at its existing customers and tells them nothing when it does the same thing.
Hello Sosumi and sorry for the late reply. I'm trying to catch up.
Thanks for your comments and understanding about the role Helena and I play on these Forums. Much appreciated.
As above, I've included your comments in the feedback I've given this morning and late yesterday. Thank you also for this. The problem is that you’re offering them exclusively through price comparison sites to everyone who isn’t an existing E.ON customer. That’s what’s causing the howls of pain and protest.
Totally take these points and have highlighted them in the feedback. Thanks again for commenting Sosumi.
