Fully appreciate your comments Confuciusone and have reported back as above.

I am an official company representative of E.ON. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. I have checked out the new tariffs now but work out more expensive for me.
I have another 5 months left until the fix finishes with E.on and was hoping they would have been one of the favoured bidders. I could go to N Power and they offer a 2 year fix but would cost another £6.00 per month and of course there is early termination fee to be considered with e.on.
I am also registered with UK Power and they have an auction coming up on the 10 October so hopefully they have something more competitive to the present ones on offer.
I hasten to add I would be loathed to leave E.on because of the excellent support and website but with me price also has to be a big consideration.0 -

Strange way to run a business.
Like many previously loyal EON customers, I'm off to join a rival.SpanishBlue wrote: »I like the way you think.
I would imagine when you start the switching process, you will have to choose from a list who you are switching from and E.ON won't be on that list.
As above SpanishBlue. Fully appreciate your comments and decision. Have discussed these and all the other comments on here with the right people. Not much help at the moment, I know, but at least you've been heard at the top of the company.

OK Malc thanks for replying. The EON Saver deal did not come up when I searched on Uswitch or CEC (presumably because I am an EON customer), but it does come up on Energyhelpline search and I see that, for me, it is more expensive than a couple of the SSE deals. I have to say that I was happy with EOn - simple website and no hassle over the last year. its just a pity we have to go through this rigmarole every year or so. Surely eon would prefer to keep customers - its best for both parties.0

This is not on EON, WHERE IS YOUR CUSTOMER LOYALTY.
I would have expected a deal for EXISTING customers only.
Malc I know it is not your fault but please pass this on to senior management.
I have sent an e - mail to customer services to express my complaint.
Have done this FOREVER21 and thank you for your consideration. Thanks also for emailing. This will reinforce what I've reported back today.

It's because the E.ON Saver v1 Fix has highly unconventional unit rates and SC rates. This totally skews comparison results
For me the gas is 1.785 p and the elx is 8.484 p per kWh.
But the SC for gas is 58.4 p  and for elx it's 33.42 p  per day.
That, for where I live and for the energies that my household consumes (heavily), makes it £146 a year cheaper than SSE for any one-year fix.
(And £67 a year cheaper than the BG collective fix.)0 -
Yes its crazy. My S/C for elec under that Eon deal is 52.06 (yours is 33.42). I am looking just for elec only so its not good for me.0

To be honest, I don't know of any other tariffs being launched by us other than those that have appeared today. As promised, I've spoken personally to those in charge and let them know the sentiments of the Forum.
Fully understand why you and others are moving away. Glad, though, we've looked after you whilst you were with us.

Gas: 2.356p per kWh, 27.25p per day (£99.45 per year)
Elec: 10.227p per kWh, 17.05p per day (£62.24 per year)
Still about 4.4% more expensive than my existing E.On tariff though.Stompa0 -
There are 2 "saver" tariffs, Saver v1 and Saver Plus v1. The plus version has the silly SCs.
For me 1.841 / 57.81 & 9.272 / 43.56
or....... 2.346 / 24.73 & 11.634 / 15.44
The plus comes in £57 pa dearer than the standard but for my daughter it is only £10 dearer0
