Morning all :hello: :coffee:
Up and about bright and early this morning, but still tired. Thanks all for your concern and encouraging me to go to the doctors. We have an online appointment booking system 2 weeks in advance, and I honestly have been on there every day since 13th August and I can't get an appointment with any doctor (and there are a couple there that I despise). I'm back at work next week which means I need late appointments so it's going to get even more difficult. I just feel like I'm wasting doctor's time - I'm not great at asking for help.
So, today's plans are mainly for us to relax and enjoy the end of the summer hols. I'm trying to decide whether or not I even need to get dressed any time soon:D:D
check banking and PAD
keep up to date with YNAB (thanks for encouragement LaE)
set up the new printer
sort and email the documents needed to the mortgage broker
set up parentpay account for dd new school
download apps for parentpay and YNAB
washing done and line dried
hoover through
declutter one place in the house
get ds to footy training (I will have to get dressed)
carry on with my handmade Christmas pressies
Have a good day everyone :beer:Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning all,
Busy day so far, but most of it is because we're getting geared up to go off in our tent in the not too distant future. Money saving bits today as follows:
*Laundry blowing dry outside on the whirlygig thingy for free.
*Meals as per meal plans - mr f's lovely turkey chilli from the freezer with rice.
*Water greenhouse veggies if they need it - everywhere else has had some rain overnight.
*Big ironing pile, but only ironed what really needed it. Some of it's going to be sitting in a pile at the back of a tent, so what's the point getting it pressed to perfection?
*Phoned building society to discuss new mortgage as ours expires next month. very helpful adviser who gave me all the options plus pros & cons of each rather than actual 'advice', which is what I prefer. Have always had a discounted mortage before, but have gone for a 3-year fix. The interest rate of the fix is lower than our current discount rate & knocks £11-39 off our current monthly repayment. Had to weigh up the balance between further interest rate falls meaning that our rate stays the same, with another possible effect of Brexit meaning that they start to go up i.e the unknown. I'm happy with what I decided, as monthly repayments & interest rates are both lower, there is no arrangement fee to pay & I felt I wanted the security of knowing that's a fixed sum now for 3 years. If the economy & interest rates end up totally zombie-ing out, then we can do something different in 3 year's time. Good to get an updated balance of what we owe - £47,697 left to pay. It feels like loads, but the adviser I spoke to said it's a very small mortgage in the scheme of things. Anyway, glad that's done, just the paperwork now. Even though it is sorted now till 2019, I shall make a note of the renewal date so that I have plenty of time to shop around.
*Use-it-up - Today's finally the last day of my lipstick that's been used right down to the last scrap with a lip-brush. I have another one (a more autumny colour, so just right!) to use up in exactly the same way. I can't think of any other product where most people automatically throw away 1/3 of what they've just paid for! It really only takes a minute to apply with a brush. Also using up stuff in the fridge.
*House cleaning day - am half-way through. Just washed out a loo cleaner bottle & filled with ordinary bleach from a huge bottle I got from Sainso's. Reckon it will do at least 3 re-fills. Was just casting around for something to use as a bin-bag when THREE charity bags came through the door at once! Problem solved! For free,
OK, must get the vacuum out now, which is going to send cat heading for the hills (or in the absence of hills, the back garden where he will sit in the most splendid sulk until I unplug it!)

Hello All
I have been feeling low all week and not feeling like coming on to read let alone postfriend dropped by for a couple of hours yesterday and I feel a lot better, we are all spending the day giving the house a good clean and a much needed sort out. This week I have managed to keep the DFW faith. Over the weekend me and OH need to have our monthly money chat.
CCL You need look after yourself. Does your doctors surgery do telephone appointments? Ours does and you can get them for the same day, most of the time the wheels can be put in motion for treatment, test etc If the doctor feels the need to see us they arrange an appointment in the next few days. As someone with fatigue as a symptom of a bigger medical condition, please get it looked into being fatigued can rob you of your life.

No, I definitely didn't bump into Mr Trump :rotfl: I'm no hairdresser but I'd love to attack/tame that hair amongst other things - he's one of those guys that my dad would say "opens their gob and lets his mouth flap about", their can't be a connection that runs between his mouth and brainGoodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Evening all
Moneysaving bits for today:
Rinsed shampoo bottle out and got enough to wash my hair this morning
Meat offer arrived (I got a voucher code from another company I have bought from previously) and I was very pleased
Walked to the post office today as I only had 1 small parcel as opposed to a car load. Also took some paper recycling to the bins outside the supermarket
Bought the inevitable bits I had forgotten in Mr W, also picked up pork chops on offer for 2 for £1.64 and really nice sausages 6 for the same priceOnly odd bits of shopping to pick up for the next few weeks!
Washing partly dried on line before it started to rain, will finish on airer tonight
Brother and his partner are coming for dinner tonight, having stuffed giant courgette, potato and parsnip mash, homegrown French beans, mangetout and carrotsPudding will be fresh figs gifted by neighbour yesterday with cream and HM shortbread biscuits. Even picked a few flowers and herbs to put in a little vase to decorate the table. Not much spent there
Paid window cleaner (not strictly MS)

Not a bad day we even managed to dismantle DS's bed and hoover bedroom (he'll sleep on mattress tonight) ready for new bed being delivered tomorrow. Also had a lovely walk with DS and DH. Will tackle the ironing mountain tomorrow while waiting in for delivery,

Worked about 60 hours in the last 3 days and I still have 24 hours to go before a day off.
Injured and exhausted. Local road home closed for a week tripling my journey time.
I'll be off grid until I (a) recover and (b) have had some quality time with my wife who probably thinks I've left home having not seen me for the best part of a month.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0
