    Morning Campers,
    Bright sunny day here, so the money saving mood is pretty strong. Here's the list so far:
    *Postie brought latest £15 Sainsbury's gift card (from Toluna surveys). Updated signature.
    *Picked runner beans.
    *Freezer dive for dinner. Lentil dhal, rice & salad for me, some sort of gigantic chicken stew concoction for mr f (who takes his freezer dives very seriously!)
    *Made loaf in BM. Will be cooling the machine down then re-filling it to make a loaf to freeze which will come with us on our camping trip. Doubly useful as we will eat it AND it acts like a giant ice-cube on the way down & helps keep our supplies cool en route.
    *Overnight laundry on cheap tariff. Pegged out in sunshine. Washer reloaded for same again tonight. The night time Economy 7 tariff is about half of the daytime one, so I must have saved a fair amount of money with night time laundry over the last few years.
    *Moved some funds around to reflect money spent from various funds over the weekend. Updated grocery budget while I was at it. Have £50 cash for next week's shop, most of which will come on camping trip with us for fresh stuff while we're there, & the remaining 3 September shops will be budgeted at around £47 each. We should be OK on that, as plenty in the freezer & still harvesting our veg/apples, etc, from the garden.
    *Emailed supermarket to complain about the dodgy bag of rocket we bought at the weekend & wisely decided not to risk eating.
    *Entered a competition.
    *Pot up baby lettuce seedlings.
    *Update calendar. mr f & I synchronised our diaries the other night so as we know what we're doing in Autumn & can flag up any potential issues such as days where both of us need the car or he has to work a weekend. I'm going to sit & put all the 'new' stuff on our kitchen calendar in a minute, as being disorganised & missing stuff leads to failing to plan & then there generally turn out to be money implications.....i.e wasting it! So I do love to keep myself very organised.
    *Use it up.....still using the last 3rd of that lippy with my trusty lip-brush. Also trying to use up a few other toiletries (the sort of things I don't buy myself but sometimes receive in a gift set kind of thing) to declutter a bit. Also intend to go through my toiletries stash & see what little bottles of stuff I've got which will be useful for camping trip.
    OK, I think that's everything for now. I will go & sort out that calendar, then stop for a lunch break......& yes, it will be money-saving as I'm eating up something which is on its last day on top of a couple of slices of toast (thus using up 2 slices of 'going stale' bread!)
    Have a good day, all.

    Hi All

    A quick pop on whilst DD eats her lunch.
    Small thingalings
    * Bought cheap packet of bacon for £1 instead of agreeing to shop bought BLTs
    * My sandwich is leftover chicken, home made coleslaw and some salad scraps to use up various little bowls that have sat in the fridge since before we went away
    * Have checked both sets of banking and chased up a deposit that was supposed to have been paid.
    * Coffee at home
    * Line drying washing
    * Doing my own weeding (appreciate lots do but plenty pay for help)
    * Checked on ebay list - potential sales value £500 (would be nice/unlikely)
    * Cheap pasta meal for DH and I later this evening as I have to do a viewing at the business at 6.30

    Right bye for now

    Morning :) Bob hope the viewing went well yesterday.

    Up early and thinking about pulling myself into gear and going to the allotment for 1 1/2 hrs before oh goes to work. Feeling lazy though...

    Day off today :D small plans:

    * need to sort out closing one of our 123 accounts and combining the 2 pots of funds - joint account & my savings. Have been putting off as worried it will just turn into a big mess and I won't know where I am! But it makes complete sense as it will free up £3000 we have in our joint account (you need a min of £3k to get the interest deal). Means we could almost pay off oh's mum :T & also only pay 1 £5 monthly fee... tis done :eek:

    * wash chair covers & hang out & put back on!

    * all meals from stores

    * have a load of toms that need using up - dawn & foxgloves care to share your recipes for tom sauce to freeze?

    * water & feed veggies

    * [STRIKE]read martin's email[/STRIKE]

    * Going to a friend's post reception wedding drinks this afternoon with dgd. Will catch the train so I can have a glass or two of wine :) outfits from stores :)

    * think this morning I will take dgd for a woodland walk and hopefully forage some elderberries to make some wine with

    * will pick courgettes, beans & beetroot while at the lottie. sadly only beetroot to pick today won't get a chance to get up there again now until Sunday. Hopefully there will be stuff to pick...

    *[STRIKE] contact hermes and request a refund as they didn't collect my parcel![/STRIKE] I don't recommend hermes chat option! Took much longer than most chat facilities. But got the refund :)

    * picked some veg (really slowly down now. Have loads of toms that haven't even begun to colour. Will they go red before it's too late?

    Tdied up the greenhouse a bit

    Ok that's me. Have a great day - better go and get ready! x

    Morning all :hello: quick post before I'm away out the door. Lovely day yesterday was sat in full sunshine for 5 hours though :eek: and no possibility of moving due to it being full. Reapplied suncream regularly and I'm not burnt :T was an amazing day, spends were low £18 lunch for friend and I and one drink later on. Considering we were out for nearly 12 hours that's not bad at all :)

    Today:
    Check banking, surveys and FPL
    Sort meat box when it arrives and freeze as required
    Leftovers to work for lunch
    Labelling tonight for sale
    Relist a couple of items on fleabay
    NSD
    Plan September things to do/ update August

    Think that's about all. PF.

    Morning Frugalistas,
    Have to go out to a meeting tonight so trying to make the most of my day as nit really in a 'meetings mood' to be honest.
    *Put a colour in my yukky roots & let hair dry naturally. (At a campsite we sometimes go to, they are very eco-conscious & have a coin in the slot hairdryer. It's 20p at a time & is set up so you get 20p's worth of electricity.....which was a bit of en eye opener as I needed 60p to dry my hair. 3 times a week over a year? Hmmm).
    *Laundry pegged out & blowing dry fir free.
    *Home made soup for lunch as I need the freezer space.
    *Ditto tomorrow's packed lunch.
    *Wrote packing list for camping trip. I shall be mad if I end up having to buy something I forgot to pack.....cotton wool balls last time & I had 2 bags of the b*ggers back at home!
    *Use it up session later as making a pasta bake with all sorts of things I've rounded up from the fridge.
    *Pick ripe tomatoes & make tomato sauce for freezer.
    DNMS.....will share recipe in a minute, just got to skin these 1st before they go soggy in the boiling water.
    Back soon,

    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

    Running in again, always running these days. Shouting hellos all round :)
    * Shopped with a list. Had meal planned for 3 days as I am out working the next 3 nights.
    *About to batch cook lasagne, sheppards pie and chilli.
    * Checked banking ahead of the onslaught that is the 1st of the month
    * Cycling to work and back later
    * Bought the cheapest nappies. More by default as they only had extra large in the next brand up and I am not paying Pampers prices

    Bye all
