Hi All
Mrs F wish I had a tomato glut, the recipe sounds fab. Ziggy hello there and hi to everyone else as well.
Wish I was a teacher. No days off over the summer and none for me until XMAS day. I did enjoy the august bank hol. I am self employed and short staffed so no days off. It will be a long year. Hopefully feb I can take a break for lambing.
Eating from fridge all week and trying to keep purse firmly closed.
Did a budget round to xmas 2016 and I need to be as careful as possible to ensure jan liabilities are met. So far just do able.
Have fun all.

I know that many of you will hate me for saying this, but I genuinely don't feel refreshed or even a little bit ready to go back to work. I know how incredibly lucky I am to get the time off that I do but I am utterly exhausted a lot of the time...
I wonder if I'm just lazy, or if I did a different job would I be so tired at the end of the day/week etc.
A couple of people have mentioned that I should have a thyroid function test but it's not that important, and it would be a miracle if I could ever actually get an appointment at my doctor's surgery.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »check banking and PAD

* have a load of toms that need using up - dawn & foxgloves care to share your recipes for tom sauce to freeze?
* picked some veg (really slowly down now. Have loads of toms that haven't even begun to colour. Will they go red before it's too late?
Well, I use an idea from Hugh Fearnley-Wotsit..... Cut up the tomatoes if they are big ones (I grow cherry ones so don't bother), chuck them in a roasting pan with a few cloves of garlic, salt and pepper and a glug or two of olive oil, and roast till soft and bursting, and skins are looking a bit caught (about 25 mins or thereabouts), then sieve to get rid of the skins and seeds. I use a hand mouli that I picked up at a car boot sale, but I guess you could blend and then push through a normal sieve. Check seasoning, add a pinch of sugar if needed, and job's a good'unI usuallydo a batch when the oven is on for something else, as it doesn't matter about the temp, or whether you put them at the top or the bottom of the oven.
As for the tomatoes ripening, well, what I will do is, any that haven't ripened by the end of this month, I will pick off and put in a single layer on trays, some will ripen, some will end up in green tomato chutney
Not much moneysaving going on here as I have been busy working on my business
Ocado delivery as I cba to go shopping - still not caught up with myself after the long weeken away. Only spent the minimum amount needed to qualify for the delivery, and to be honest I had run out of quite a few staples due to not having done a proper shop for a while.
Neighbour gave me a bowl of lovely ripe figs. She was given loads, and couldn't use them all
HM meals, finished off some beef and bean stew out of the freezer, with rice and HG veg for dinner.
Paid milk bill
Walked dog for free exercise
A few surveys, getting close to payout on Onepoll
And that is about it! Must do better tomorrow!0 -

Been there, and remember it well. Couldn't be a teacher now though, far worse than back in the day  And not the kids!
We have a similar issue with trying to get GP appointments here. It is really worrying, as symptoms WILL get missed / overlooked / ignored and in some cases sadly outcomes will be worse because of it:mad:

Morning guys
the conversation about being tired and doctor appts made me feel sadcat go and get yourself checked out! It is important, you're important and your good health is everything. Please go, just imagine if there was something that could improve this continual tiredness for you - it'd be the biggest and best raise you could get!
No great shakes in the DFW realm for me today
* go to work
* packed lunches for us all, foraged fruit for me
* pack things for camping tomorrow
* bake a cake to take - think i'll just do a lemon drizzle
* get sausages, steaks & bacon out of freezer to take
* possibly pick up a couple of bits to take - stuff to make somores, milk & bread - but might just do this tomorrow
* look through the fridge and use/freeze anything that needs it
* try to do something with the mountain of veg we have
* feed veggies and admire my aubergines - I have 7 now :j
that's it! Like I said not trail blazing or anything! Happy Friday y'all x
Just did mega budgeting session and sorted out what's what in bank account, pers account & monthly cc. Have about £60 in my pers account until I get paid at the end of the month. After the last few months this seems a fortune!doubt I will spend it all

Morning everybody!
This is my first day of utter determination!
I am a bit of a one for writing huge To Do lists and then beating myself up for not doing them, so I'm starting fairly small...
1) first of all I will check in on here every day, as I will be going online for survey purposes anyway, so I will commit to doing this!
2) add up everything I need to pay and pop it on a signature for motivation!
3) ring sky
4) do the first letter re reclaiming the payday loans thing (I have 6 to do so one a day for a while)
I have decided that the credit card is the first thing to work on as that is costing me the most money (and I would feel so much happier knowing that I have it there, clear, costing me nothing, in case of dire car emergency, at the moment I'm winging it, and without my car I have no job). But I seem to have no money left at the end of the week, so it gets left.
Good luck for today everyone - I'm off for a run. I run the Great North Run next week!0
