Shopping done, (most odd while I was there this man kept walking in front of me, turning round and smiling at me, I didn't recognise him, and he did it about 15 times in all, and only to me............I decided to ignore him, and carry on, I nearly left the shop / spoke to staff about him...............paid, went to car, load up, locked my self in car, and drove the long way home, via the local police station, in case I was followed, but I wasn't but most odd.
Clean all of downstairs windows inside and outside
Fed various animals of one sort or another, cuddles were also dished out, as were cleaning of hutches / litter trays........just got to tuck for them up for bed later.
Car insurance sorted £60 cheaper than last year, so that will do me.

Week looking up - I have work😀 Only 3 days, and it's 50miles each way, but it's a start. Cue rushing around like a lunatic all day trying to get everything done and organise Furry care. I'd said 25 hrs over 5 days as I don't want to leave him for too long (he's used to me 24/7) This is a rush job - deadlines tomorrow, so I think it may be 25hrs in 3 days. Not fair to leave Oz, so he's going to doggy day care. Not sure how much I'll actually earn after that and petrol.
Bathroom scrubbed. Kitchen S&S. Breakfast, lunch and dinner prepped for the next couple of days. Now to research the computer program I need to learn for tomorrow.
Night all :TGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Well done on the job front fbo xx
I'm never getting to sleep tonight! So I heard a buzzing, then a sort of quiet squeal (if there is such a thing!) then a smell of burning
My sensible head tells me a fly has met his maker on a lightbulb somewhere - I've sniffed around and can't work out where it's coming from, smell is stronger in the LR / hall / kitchen.
My not so sensible head is convinced we will have a fire now
Everything is switched off, all new kitchen appliances smell fine, garage where boiler is smells fine, DRsmells fine, upstairs smells fine.
Smoke alarms are both on.
Worried.
Edit: googled myself silly. It may have been the surge protector. Although everything was switched off. And the noise seemed to come from the other side of the room. Smell nearly gone. I've unplugged and removed said item. There is a push button on it, which is usually backlit, that wasn't when I looked. At least I think it usually is.Bossymoo

Great about the job FBO.
Welcome to new flyladies and returners.
Golly, everyone seems to have done a lot today. I've done lots of bitsa as usual as hol starts tomorrow.
- went to have eyelashes etc done this am
- went to last physio; a gym session. She added one more machine to my routine but has officially signed me off. The shoulder is still quite stiff, which will continue to improve, but is strong and not often painful; certainly not to the extent that it was.
- went to PO to post a parcel and get some currency
- watered and fed greenhouse plants
- cleaned fridge drawers as now hardly anything in there
- all things that need charging have been charged and the leads packed.
- all student record sheets given a final check over, zipped and emailed
- a million (felt like it) old emails deleted
- pay claim done and sent
- lots of general gubbins put away ranging from holiday "might take" pile to student folders, bits of paper from tax return etc. Most things in the house are more or less where they should be.
- collected Mr N from work and dropped in to see MIL on way home. We took with us an enormous bag of fruit which we won at a flower festival raffle yesterday.........it had every possible fruit in it and made a fantastic fruit salad for us before we bagged it up for MIL, well worth the price of the raffle ticket
- endless lists re-checked, crossed off and binned
Tomorrow I want to do a bit in the garden, finalise hand luggage (determined only to take new Ameribag handbag rather than anything else). Of course I may clean the whole house as well...........but as friend is taking us to the station at 12.15 that may just sadly have to wait.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Woot FBO
This is a question, please bear in mind I am not intending to cause anyone personal distress but I am thinking of writing a letter to my sister, telling her how much I love her, that I will miss her, and including a couple of stories which may be used in the funeral service. I would appreciate thoughts and/or comments.
One story
Our stepdad, who has been brilliant and is Grandad (without question) to the children is not English; his mother never did speak English so once when J and I were included in a visit to stepdad 's parents were offered coffee by step gran. She looked at us, said 'coffee' and shrugged. We nodded assent and were each given a cup of very strong boiled coffee. We sipped. J said "I can't drink this" so I drank mine (and it was rally strong, I was a teenager and not used to coffee) said I would drink it. So I forced mine down, gave her the empty cup and saucer and started on hers. She, however, didn't wait for me to finish and waltzed off into the kitchen with 'her' empty cup - while I drank her coffee! Thus making it look like I didn't like it!

Valli I think that's the sort of memory that would make people smile (it would me) and I took it that J did it in a mischievous way rather than there being any unpleasantness there. But then you have to remember that people will be feeling sensitive, is there anyone you can think of in the family who might take it the wrong way?
I should be in the shower. Have sorted a few bits of paperwork this morning that's all. Both paid stuff today, want to get out on the bike, DS to footie training and back, pilates tonight.
Have a good Wednesday everyone x0 -
Got up early to walk the dog before work then remembered he is on sleepover at his mummy dogs house
So towels in the wash and back to bed for an hour0 -

We have laughed about it since, we were left on our own to drink the coffee and she just never thought, and took her (my) cup back:rotfl:
