Valli- I think it will be a really special thing for you to do. It will help you to reflect on all those happy memories and show your sister just how much she means to you. (Although I'm sure she knows that already x)

Thanks for your opinions on our dis agreement. It's nice to know I'm not being unrealistic. I know the balance shifts slightly when I'm off with the kids it on maternity leave. When I'm back at work OH will definitely pitch in a little more. He loves his job but I do think he sometimes wishes he could stay at home in the holidays. A little bit of jealousy/ envy of how he perceives the holidays (lots of drinking tea and day trips out!!). In reality he would struggle to have all three kids for a day (although he would hate to admit it!!). He just about manages half an hour when i go out for a run (and most of the time i wait until they are in bed!).
I am going into work in Monday for a training day and OH was going to have them but then told me he couldn't get the day off work!! So they are being shipped out to grandparents and godparents!!

bossy I can't read the quote as it has cut half of it off. What does it say??

I half did my bedroom but had to stop to get little miss fed and ready for bed and as she is still sleeping in with us I with Have to leave the rest until tomorrow!!!

It says "he asked why the house isn't clean since I'm home all day, I asked why we aren't rich since he's at work all day"

    ;)

All quiet here after yesterday's fun. Think my skin had too much sun - we did have spf40 and the kids are fine but I think I missed some bits - aloe stuff from Lanzarote liberally applied.

No idea what to do with DS. DD is at gym camp at her dance school today, we can't go far due to dropping off and picking up.

I also want to return my DR to normal today. Some stuff went to charity yesterday but I have a pile of my mums stuff, decorating bits (ooo must nudge decorater).

    And more laundry!

Have a good day, everyone xx

BD shown the door. Enough of my pity party. I'm so over it. It's scratching to come back in, but I'm ignoring it.

Hair washed and brushed - check
    Top up shop done.
Ironing pile sorted, if not actually ironed ;) DH did have to wear a polo shirt to work this morning as all of his work shirts appear to be in said Mount Ironmore.
So, ready for today. List of things to do is still huge, but we have gas in the caravan, which means I can cook (and have a hot shower) so hurrah:T

Bossy - I loved your post. I'll be using it when DH gets chopsy over the lack of hoovering in the future.

Small people still asleep, so enjoying a sneaky cuppa back in bed ;)

    Happy September everyone!

    Morning all.

Ran out of steam yesterday, so didn't get the packing done, but am about to do it now, while DH does breakfast, and then we'll be off. Today we shall hopefully be flying along the A14 and then up the A1(M) so watch out for :wave::wave: if you live anywhere near our route. I am taking technology with me so will be lurking.

Big (((hugs))) to everyone returning to work this week or next. And good luck to all children moving/starting school, like my DGD2 (she was only 4 in August )
  • Good morning all and happy September :)

I am in bed with a cuppa whilst DS watches paw patrol (again!) and DD plays on her new-to-her bike on the decking. Bliss. I did, however, manage to sprain my left foot after looking after 4 kids yesterday in addition to my own so I'm a bit sore and grumpy. Thanks goodness the holidays are nearly over!

Today's plan involves a park trip and some visits to relatives. I am most definitely not spending money, I have dusted off a shiny new spending diary and will be sticking to a budget. So it's freezer surprise for dinners and fridge use up time. If we carry on spending as we are I would need to go back to work full time, which would make life very tricky given that DH is away all week and we have no family local to help with the kiddies.

Dizzy - glad you're feeling more positive :T
Valli - huge hugs to you lovely xx

Right, better move! Have lovely days xx

Morning all. Despite the fact that my kitchen was minging yesterday and still is today I don't care, I had the day off. I'm going to have to do it today though, you have to wear something on your feet at the moment!
Mouse ejected at 5:30, when I went down to put DW and WM on. Gotta love multitasking...
    Bossy loved that picture!

ATB go steady on that ankle won't you; I turned mine a while ago and it still gives me gyp sometimes. I know what you mean about no spending as it can work out so expensive just taking the kids out. You definitely don't want to have to work full time!

Iona sorry can't remember where you're going to or for how long but have a lovely time!

Dizzy well done on showing the BD the door - keep ignoring the scratches and he'll give off and wander off properly soon. Yay to hot showers :T!

    Bossy
are you doing your course now? I know when I was last here you were in the rundown to leaving your job.

Donna hope work goes well today.

    Valli sending you hugs x

How is it already September? Doesn't seem possible does it. Going to put a load in the WM and then brave the extension and give the floor another sweep as it's dusty in there from the new plaster - then jump straight in the shower and wash all the dust off! Got some paid stuff in at last and want to do housework this am, this pm having a friend's son for the day. Him and S get on very well so shouldn't be any bother. DH and Z back some time tonight I think though his plans always change at the drop of a hat.

Have a good day everyone x
