Hi mumof2 term hasn't started yet, but yes, I'm all enrolled and finished work 3 months ago, if you count annual leave too. Loving it so far! Good to have you back, hope things are looking up for you xxx
So DS has decided what we are doing today - he came in asking if we had string and paper - and could he make some birthday bunting for his sister :A aww I just had to give him a kiss - nothing about where can I take him, or whatever, just a plan to make decorations. What a little sweetie! I've said we'll go get home some new football socks and he can have McD's for lunch if he likes.
Just updated my finances, really need to stop spending, and someone's supposed to be decorating the LR for me next week... Am thinking I won't buy new furniture but wondering if I can repaint my tv cabinet...Bossymoo

Morning all.
Sticks, spoons & vibes to all.
Dentists said she can feel the lump on the outside but no signs of an infection inside and since I can still feel cold in the tooth it can't be infected. But the infection could be in the jaw itself.I have a check up on the 23rd so she'll have another good look at it then, but for now it's a weeks worth of antibiotics again....and she said I may need a root canal as I already have quite a deep filling on that particular tooth. Right now I'm willing to do anything not to loose another tooth
After that I went for a walk as I had a cross between cabin fever and child surgically attached to me fever:rotfl: I've spent the last 7 weeks either at home or out with DD p0kemon hunting except for I think 2 trips out when she's been elsewhere. When she's gone away I've used the opportunity to catch up with stuff at home. I bought myself 2 new books from the 4th charity shop I visited. One is a local murders book and the other a student cookbook but despite looking I passed on all the fiction ones as I'm distinctly lacking space on my 1 bookcase and there were none I needed to complete sets or on my list of authors I know I like (I keep it in my purse to try and avoid duplicates
). I'm hoping when I get caught up with paperwork disposal I'll be able to juggle stuff around and gain another shelf to put all the reference/cookery books on so I can buy more fiction ones when I see them.
I then came home via Mr A for my prescription, and a top up shop...ended up spending £40 including the water filters I needed at nearly £5 and a pair of jeans for me as I'm wearing them out so fast with all the walking  Then popped to Mr Al (literally over the road from Mr A) for bread and juice.
Came home collapsed on the sofa for a bit then took Zack for a long walk to the park. Had a heart in my mouth moment when he went tail over head chasing a stick then brought it back to me with blood on and with blood in his mouth  I checked him over, gave him a drink of water and he seemed fine. Decided to just walk for a bit outside of the park to tire him out as he was bouncing with excitement. About 5 minutes in he started dragging one of his back paws, so I stopped and sat down on a bench to check his paws in case there was something stuck. Nothing, so I gave him another drink and we went on our way, but on walking again the dragging had stopped. Walked another 15 minutes or so and he started dragging the other one. So I stopped, sat & checked his paw, nothing again. Walked on and no dragging. Decided to come home the direct and quieter route which involved passing the park. He tried to go in and I said no quite firmly and carried on walking past. He started dragging both his back paws, I stopped and looked at them quickly by lifting them this time, nothing. Set off again and he tried to go back into the park walking fine. I said no and walked the opposite way and he started sulking and dragging his front paws which I know had nothing wrong with them. I can only assume he saw the benches in the park, put the "mum stops and sits on a wall or bench when I drag my paws" with it and thought I'd take him into the park to check him as he walked home perfectly fine and has been running around the livingroom chasing toys and jumping, standing on his hind legs and everything lol :rotfl::rotfl: I've checked him a couple of times since we came home in case of any swelling or other obvious injury but nothing. So I think a couple of quiet days at home are called for and I'll take him on a long walk with DD on Tuesday before she goes back to school.
Today is a paid work day. I over slept, discovered the clothes I'd put on the maiden last night weren't dry enough to wear this morning, and there were no towels for me to use after my shower so today is not going well. DD is home this evening at some point so I need to make sure I've got something for her to eat before she comes out to work with me. Tomorrow is likely to be a laundry and housework day, but I really have no idea. Right now I just want to go back to bed and sleep.Instead I'm going to go and update something for work, and then shower and go out before kids start pinching my books again

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Nicki your Zack sounds like a real character!! You're doing very well with him as he sounds like he has a very active mind and I love how you rotate his toys. I've had to stop doing Agility with Whiz due to work pressure but to be honest doing a 40 minute round trip and being there for an hour just to do 10 minutes worth of training (5 others in the class) really isn't a good use of my time.
Bossy DS sounds just plain gorgeous - how sweet to make bunting for his sister, bless him. Kids can really surprise you sometimes can't they. Bet you're looking forward to your course now aren't you.
Swept the floor in the extension, I'm all clean and dressed, WM on, DW on, S had breakfast and dogs fed.
I've gone from no work to 4 jobs so best crack on now. I'm going to be trained up on a new client so that will be a bit more £s for me which is much needed as J has been off work since May now - he seems laid back about it but I'm getting distinctly twitchy as the money goes so quickly. He can be a bit kamikaze with money whereas I'm the restraining influence. Had a major breakthrough though in that he has said he will sign on if none of the possible jobs come off - before that was a definite NO. Catch you later.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Phew! Daily stuff done, including parrot cages and yesterday's (I was busy LOL)
Now I'm off to cut the grass so that the cuttings can go with the weekly collection tomorrow. I've just had the shopping delivered and I put it away - I'm feeling more organised and I suppose that's half the battle. I'm going away for a few days next week so have even started charging my camera batteries and the Kindle is on charge just in case I get time to read.
Have fun everybody x0 -
Arghhh nothing done
Get on with it grrrrrr0 -
We shouldn't be afraid to feel strong emotions, Valli. What you're going through is really tough, and holding it together takes some serious doing. (((Hugs)))
Hugs CY.
Your son, BossyMoo, sounds like an absolute star (piccie please when he's made it) and I absolutely loved this:It says "he asked why the house isn't clean since I'm home all day, I asked why we aren't rich since he's at work all day"
New word of the day from Dizzy Imp, 'chopsy.' Love it! In view of something you said a few weeks ago, OH and I have started to have the conversation about Powers of Attorney and important documents. It's our 23rd anniversary on Saturday, too, so we've planned the day around the dog's infirmities and OH is happy with what I've come up with. Hurrah!
Frog job I've been deferring for a few weeks of the strawberry runners pinned down into submission - done! There's nothing to it if you can get to the little suckers but a nightmare if you've been stupid enough to put your one strawberry plant in a hanging trough over the railings on the other side, so to speak, next to other troughs that are full, and over the top of big pots that are the very devil to move. So, Froggie Job #1 Done. Very proud of self for being so good. Now on to pruning the summer fruiting raspberries about which I am a tad confused. Can't do it any worse than I did last year, so secateurs are 'Go.'
House tidied after last night's raucousness, a departing lodger's final day is underway. Ex-office landing gibble will be attic bound tomorrow, apparently, with OH's help. Good.
Then sewing. Even better.Better is good enough.0 -
Quick visit - zero Flying today unless you count giving Jack a last brush and wiping round his eyes (Spaniel, so very active tear ducts and fur gets gunged up) before he went home.
Off in a few mins to pick up next guest Ronnie - we're on the "mop up" of the remaining commitments which were already booked when the decision was made to close the franchise, which I am now having to do freelance - not my first choice, but I simply can't let the dogs down.
TTFNIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
So, September is here! DS has made his bunting, although he did get bored very quickly, but it's all packed away to "hide" with wrapped presents and he's just finishing her card before we go pick her up.
He has new football socks and I've been to the cash point. Started making inroads into DR and my kitchen is lovely - I'm still very motivated to keeping it clean, lol.
LR is tidy, although we will be doing some clearance tomorrow plus my new vac is coming tomorrow so will deffo be testing that out!
Conservatory needs to be tidied and cleared to be able to take the LR furniture on Sunday night, so the Lego village will have to go
Going to clean downstairs loo when we get back. Grubby finger marks all round the door frame :eek:Bossymoo
