Welcome Donna and Cherie - remember Rome wasn't built in a day xx
Took kiddies to dentist - all good. DS may need braces but he's only 7 and needs to be left till his jaw is much bigger. But he was very pleased with the condition of their teeth. Then we stopped off at the park for half an hour.
My bedroom could do with a dust n vac but I changed the bedding a couple of days ago - there are some towels on the floor to put away though.
We might also wash the car this aft - since we cleaned the inside yesterday
Have done a YouTube playlist of Faraway Tree cartoons. kids love them!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Done a lot again today - here's what's left:
Remake with fresh clean bedding
Dust surfaces
Polish mirrors and any other shiny surfaces...
Clean the light switches
Extra challenge:- Clear one drawer in the dressing table/chest of drawers
- Clean the window - make it sparkle in the sunshine
- HHI
No work come in yet; thought it'd be quiet as still school holidays. Want to get trimming the hedge some more but green wheelie bin full right up so have to be patient til Thursday - what's the betting it'll chuck it down with rain!! Got 2nd load in WM (our bedding) and just had lunch so will let that go down a bit and then do a bit more housework I think.
BD slowly wandering off; throwing a stick for those other BDs still hanging around.
Nicki has DD gone to Uni?
A big big welcome to Donna and Cherie.
Dizzy I know how you feel - I hadn't had a shower since Friday as BD just too powerful but feeling much better now for doing it. It's so hard when everything is so tiring isn't it - thinking of you xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Welcome to the Flylady Madhouse Donna and Cherie.LW sorry to hear the doggy franchise has closed, I wish I knew you in RL as we would love to have a dog sitter rather than using kennels.I'm in. I've not brushed my hair since Saturday  I'm just exhausted. BD needs a tree to gnaw on. List of things to do today runs to two pages. Broken my glasses, cracked windscreen on the van. Run out of propane in the caravan, so no hot water or gas for cooking.
Next tasks:
Prep tonight's dins (need to cook sausages and pasta to have cold with salad)
Do a Farewell card for franchisee. "So long and thanks for all the [STRIKE]fish[/STRIKE] dogs" style of thing.
Do a photo montage for Jack to take home.
Take Jack for a 45-minute walk.
Tackle a few more Frogs.
Best log off and crack on, then.:o

Welcome cherie
Continued hugs and virtual support for all who need it.
Border off it was surprisingly easy as I forgot it was a stick on one rather than a glue on so it came off complete. Window sill washed down outside with a cunningly fashioned cloth on the end of the attic latch pole and lending rather further out of the window than was safe (but Dh was at work at what he doesn't know won't worry him) bathroom is done and now all clean and sparkly again. Washed down all the ornaments and the top of the cupboards, 90% of paintwork washed down, 40% of carpet from inside 'fitted' wardrobe ripped up need to scrape the foam backing up that's welded to the floor in places, find room in the ottoman for the bedding I evicted from the airing cupboard, the two boxes of ornaments I washed and packed this morning need putting up in the attic for safekeeping till after we've decorated.
I've been to work and done my shift plus a meeting, Dh has been home fed and returned to his work, ds2 fed and now sorting out the last Ncs topic he has to complete before his 'graduation' from there. He's tasked with putting everyone's photos into a montage to be shown at the celebration, then he's got to limp down Drs and have his foot redressed.
I'm going to make a cuppa put some loud music on and not stop till this room looks semi habitable again-or at least have a clear bed to fall in tonight.SPC~12 ot 124

Thanks for the list Natty, I'm late to the party but better late than never.
We cleaned the conservatory yesterday, DH outside, me in. It didn't seem like it had ever been done, yuck! It is much brighter now but still can't say I would ever choose one, too hot in there!
Have just finished work and took DS to the park. Time for some flying before dinner to be made.Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

I like the new improved positive ds2 that has appeared since he Pulled himself from the brink of free fall after the nightmare that was GCSE day. He's just reappeared back home with the biggest grin on his face and declared that that was the earliest he's ever been for anything, his Drs app is tomorrow!
I've dysoned the foam dust that was carpet backing up, filled the ottoman, sanded various bits of paintwork and most of my fingerprints.
Think I deserve another cuppa now, then I need to text sis, phone dd1, do my August overtime forms, Plus I'm guessing the family will be requiring feeding tonight so I'd better sort that out.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi All
Have been trying to tackle the weeding in bite sized attempts. Well basically as long as DD will allow it. Managed another 2 hours today. So hot out there. Ground extremely hard. But if I dont do it now it just gets left. I like the idea of having a neat tidy garden before the winter starts. Although so hot today I cant really think
of winter

Well my day has gone slightly to pot, but needs must as helping a friend, actually 2, in distress when I finish work.
Friend number 1 had a new boiler fitted last week and the bathroom flooded over the weekend. Boiler man made the situation safe, but was obviously an insurance job as quite a lot of damage and drying out to do.
Builder and electrician out today to assess damage and set up dehumidifiers. Builder said to electrician, don't touch the ceiling I think it has asbestos in it.
Mr Not So Bright Spark does the exact thing he had been told not to and now the house is covered in white dust.
My friend now has to be evacuated from her house, including her dog and step daughter's wedding dress which was being kept there till it goes for alterations. My friend is SD's future MIL and is now staying with her for the foreseeable, possibly 4-6 weeks.
Friend number 2 is having to hand rear 7 puppies as Mummy Dog did not survive the birth so delivering some old towels to help keep her home reasonably dry.
I must not come home with a puppy, or even the thought of a puppy.
On the plus side, there must be one, all I can think of is Holby is on tonight:undecided
All the best
Gilly x0 -
Been busy since home from the paid stuff - WM on, dried up, washed up, dishwasher emptied and filled, wiped the part of kitchen surfaces I can see. A little chill on here then back to it - visitors at the weekend!0

Aww Gilly how sad about the dog, and what a nightmare for your other friend. Tired tonight, busy day at the paid stuff.
I gave our bedroom a going over at the weekend so will just make sure it's all tidy in there. Mind you I need to do something because if I just sit here I will go to sleep.
Maybe I should have an hour shredding, there is some old paperwork to get rid of so that I can reorganise a shelf in the office. But sitting here doodling about on the internet is far more appealing ....0
