Welcome newbies (rainedaize(sp?) and any I've missed.
Welcome back Sarahshattered and mumof2
DD has gone - and I sobbed - probably not so much her going back as everything else that's going on.
Anyway I have dissected one of my parents courgettes (think marrow - honestly!) and put it in a pan with bits to make a veggie chilli. I did wash two courgettes and I have used my huge stockpot but I can't get two courgettes in.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Valli, sending you a hug; I don't know what's going on for you (and don't need to know) but whatever it is a hug doesn't do any harm whatsoever x
Done the kitchen list up to 'got an hour' and also emptied and washed out the bin. I also cleaned the hob and wiped down the white goods. That'll be it for me housework wise today. Going to do some lunch and then we're going out for a walk this afternoon.
Kids back to school on Monday but J may well be taking Z down to Bude to see his Mum on Tuesday night til Thursday night; not 100% definite. I'll be home with S.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
(((HUGS))) to Valli and CY and anyone else in need today.
I too have a resident BD; under a lot of stress right now, and also in a LOT of pain, so swigging Oramorph like it's going out of fashion.
Got GP appointment on Friday, (made the appointment just over a month ago) which I always dread - it's only the 6-monthly meds review, but I still get very jittery about going. I just have a total fear of medical bods.:(
However, I shall flappety-flip-flap along as best I can again this week (Mr LW is now being told, whenever he nods off at the pc "If you've finished with it, turn it off and go clean something") and we'll see how we get on.
I have an entire pondful of Frogs, so I shall see how many of those I can deal with along the way.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Many thanks..
(my sister's been prescribed oramorph; thanks to you LW, I know what it is...might be just post-op (for now, anyway).
I have pulled myself together enough to do a maidenful of ironing. I seem to be able to switch off when I clean etc. But wow - getting out of bed is becoming a challenge (psychologically IYSWIM). Being a release for mum is hard, she goes over and over the sequence of events.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hugs good wishes posi, coping and get well vibes for all who need them
Welcome to the new and returning flyers.
Spent the morning in the attic clearing and tidying, wrote an extensive frog list for the garden and our bedroom - have booked carpet fitter for stairs landing and our room for half term so all gloss painting in relevant areas needs doing befor then plus our room decorating.
Rang work and informed them of the mother of all wasps nests in the preschool room roof so garden will be hazardous till its sorted
Generally apart from that have chosen to take the bank holiday, I'll play catch up tomorrow, which is sort of the story of my life at the mo.SPC~12 ot 124

I am in this week, fighting BDs with the biggest sticks I can throw.
DH is fishing in France for the week, so I am hoping he will notice a difference on his return in the house and me.
Kitchen is blitzed to within an inch of its life
Hall, stairs and landing have been hoovered
WM has been on overdrive, 6 loads blowing in the wind
Doors and windows open to let the fresh air in
Shoes and handbags listed in local FB selling pages so hoping to make a few pennies from there
Just over 14 weeks till we go to Lapland for step daughters wedding, so need to make the most of the long days and sunshine so also going to spend an hour in the garden each day this week overdosing on vitamin D whilst I can. Only 2 hours of daylight when we get to Lapland and the thought of that horrifies me, would it be wrong to take my SAD lamp?
LW sorry to hear the doggy franchise has closed, I wish I knew you in RL as we would love to have a dog sitter rather than using kennels.
Best wishes to all, have spoons, sticks and broomsticks as necessary.

Afternoon
Well I was so worn out yesterday, I went to bed at 8.30pm, and slept till 5.30am when cat thought it would be good to wake me up for food.
So fed cat
Hung out washing done over night
Packed car and went car booting, with 'stuff' I was given a couple of weeks ago from my long drive.......less clutter came back with me..................
So hoovering is done
Toilets cleaned
Washing in folded, and what needs ironing is done and away.
Bins cleaned
Various animals fed and cuddled, just got to go and put them to bed about 8pm or so.
A long list of things to do tomorrow
Head on the list, is a phone call to Nationwide Building Society, as it seems they are charging me £25 from some fee or another, yet there is money in the account, and not overdrawn.......so a conversation will be had.
Rest of the list is other type of such boring stuffBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I'm hoping to put an end to post its stuck to the wall around my desk, and numerous notebooks on the go at the same time
We'll see how well it goes....

Good evening, I am just going to update my list and then head to bed, as its been a busy day with a major change of plan as ds2 was off nursery ill and dd had to get an emergency appointment. Sorted out outsourcing ironing so I will hopefully get all the laundry pile sorted out, to save money I will also do some of it myself.
Monday Mayhem ~ Krazy Kitchen & Living room
Tidy the living room
Make a start on painting the living room (DH is going to do this job)
Clear the kitchen floor of unnecessary gibble
Mop/hoover the kitchen floor
Shine the sink and draining board. Make those taps shine and twinkle..
Wipe down worktops and wipe down all small electricals.
Rehome anything in the kitchen that is out of place
Clean inside the microwave. A good tip is to heat up a cup of water in the microwave - the steam shifts all the yukky stuff on the microwave
Look at the cost of getting a new microwave - check finances and schedule purchase date
Clean the kitchen window and windowsill. Rehome anything that shouldn't be there
Sort through your cookery books/magazines. Are there any that you don't need that are just taking up space? Rehome them to the local charity shop...
15 fling boogie in the kitchen
Deweb, don't forget those corners in the living room
Clean light fittings/switches in the living room
Wipe down the doors kitchen and living room

Hi All
Back from a long weekend away, did a lot of flying for my in laws as due to ill health they had got a bit behind. Home since 5, 2 loads done, DW unloaded, bags packed away, dinner made and had. Managed to fit in wiping out 2 kitchen cupboards whilst DH hung out some washing.
