Morning all :hello:
Up and about early this morning for a training session. Suspect today may be a bit of a write off though as I didn't sleep well last night. I don't think I'm fully recovered from my bug earlier this week as I'm still feeling quite wiped out.
Dawn - sorry you've been poorly. Don't overdo it now you're feeling a bit better.

Morning all
Up early after not much sleep
I suppose it is hardly surprising as I was in bed for 2 days prior to yesterday :rotfl:
Anyway, today I have /will
Found a £2 coin in a pair of jeans I bought in a charity shop yesterday :T Feel a bit guilty, but I did donate a big box of stuff as well as buy the jeans, so not THAT guilty...
Picked French beans, courgettes, rhubarb and tomatoes - I wish I could email some of you French beans, rhubarb and courgettes  I will have to look out likely neighbours....
Make courgette soup for lunch!
Loaf in bread maker
Dog walks x 2
Load of washing, hope it dries in between rain - weird weather we have at the moment!
Wipe down front of cooker and look at the thingy that arrived from ebay this morning that is supposed to support the storage drawer under the oven. We lost said thingy ages ago and it is annoying me, so hope this is the right bit... and that I am clever enough to mend it. If not, it will need to wait for OH!
Clean other oven and grill compartment if the mood takes me - I attacked the oven I use most often with Barkeepers Friend and one of those shiny silver scourers and it has come up a treatI have an elderly range cooker, such treatment is probably unwise for people who have smart new ones  The second oven and grill are nowhere near as disgusting, so won't be such a mission.... hopefully!!
Dust furniture in bedroom and dining room as it looks awful and is bugging me
Package ebay sale which can wait to be posted till Monday (he didn't pay till 1am, and I have been waiting for days!)
Right, off to stalk the neighbours with French beans and courgettes0 -
Dawn sorry you had a bad night. Poor thing. Would it be possible to set up one of those honesty box style garden table sales for your veg? You have mentioned before about being on a fairly busy road. I love those! Why not make a few £ for your produce?
Dont feel guilty about the £2. I have to say half the time you donate at the chazza they dont exactly even seem pleased." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Greetings Frugalistas,
*mr v volunteered to clean house so everywhere looking nice & clean....on just the minimum of chemicals & washable cloths.
*Made greengage jam. Home grown fruit & recycled jars.
*Picked lots more ripe tomatoes, heaps more courgettes & runner beans.
*A huge tomato plant had snapped in half so I took 2 lbs green tomatoes off the broken half & have put them in a paper bag with 1 red one to ripen.
*Strong winds brought down several apples so have made them into apple sauce.
*Water greenhouse & veggie garden.
*Topped up worm composter with food scraps.
*Entered a competition.
*Cut up an old shirt for the rag bag. Buttons saved into my button jar.
*Treating ourselves to a rare Indian takeaway tonight but it's budgeted for.
*mr f went out to buy some or other small gizmo first thing....some or other piece of cable.....came back empty-handed as said he 'wasn't looking to pay silly money'. How we've both changed!!
Nice to catch up on what everyone's been doing.

Phew worn out after 2 days of money saving:
- Got restyle, wash, blow dry and conditioning with Groupon voucher at a lovely salon for £14. Plus they make a large latte for free!!
- Went for a check up at the dentist, got a receipt to claim back from work.
- Completed a very quick survey for 150 nectar points - its all about Christmas if you go on line or check your inbox you'll be able to do it too.
- Ordered underwear for DD and I from M&S sale using cashback site too
- £1 card from C.Factory
- Used CC to pay for holiday, paid off by moving my money around!
- Order a screen replacement kit for £4 off fleabay, it failed and I lost a piece, so took it to repair shop - cost £40. But this is cheaper overall than paying for phone insurance, I'll complain to the eBay seller because the tools were unusable and I use the phone for market research and selling so its well worth the spend!
- Mend dress
- Handwash tights to wear again next week
- Take donations to charity shop and get cheap DVDs and books for holidays.
- Book hire car for holiday through cashback site
- Book airport parking as cheap as poss and through cash back site
- Search for cheapest currency and book for collection
- Postcode lottery
- Send eBay parcels
- Use McD's vouchers that I found in the Metro newspaper to treat my daughter - saved £2.
- Use free cinema vouchers that I got from the Tesco Dettol offer (offer now closed but can use till Nov)
- iPoll surveys
- DH tidied bedroom and found things to sell on flebay/faceache
- Entered a few comps
- Trawled around HBargains, Wilko, Iceland and Aldi to get the best shopping deals!
- a family meal out (its a MR of course! ;-) )
Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
BB - hope that you feel better by tomorrow :grouphug:
Foxgloves - please can Mr F teach my dh a thing or two. I am constantly having to remind myself that I'm the only person in this house that does anything.
I've had exactly the kind of day I was hoping for - quiet.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »Today's plans are a bit samey...

Ally - don't work too hard...
I'm afraid I did. I put in 51.5 hours over 4 days. And I've hardly eaten all day, just a few dextrose tablets which was bl**dy stupid. Came home and devoured my homemade lasagne from the freezer.
Hopefully we can get some more staff for next week at work so I can get some rest.
And now I have 3 days off, hopefully. Tomorrow will be spent on the sofa and Monday at Ettrick Bay beach, which is remote and peaceful.

Morning all, it's brighter here today which is good as we're off out to a NT place, using our membership with friends.
Ally enjoy your rest. See your joy fund is rising, you still planning an Oz trip?
My list for today:
Make packed lunch and drinks for day trip
Quick tidy round
Burgers from freezer for tea
Spend evening labelling items for nns that less than a month away
Take down curtains in dd2 room, we've moved her in with dd1 and I can now sell her nursery items as I was waiting for curtains to complete the set. Will make some room and hopefully make a few £. Will wash curtains tomorrow when I can dry outside
List a couple more items on fleabay, may find a couple more when labelling
Have charity bag, will like add items to it when labelling too
Right quick cuppa to get me going then I best get on. PF.0
