Hi guys
katy_ann congrats on all your news! :T
La E not sure I like the weekly thread! As I'm no longer a daily poster it becomes quite arduous trying to work out where I am and catch up! But happy to go with the general consensus!
Yesterday had a great day! Went to the CS where I saw the coat, bought it & 2 tops, a pair of work trousers, a scarf I will use instead of muslin to strain out wine must & yogurt (for 50p) and a pair of leggins for dgd for £8.50 :T
We then went to the Cotton Powell Museum for the afternoon which dgd loves! Stopped on the way home to pick some apples on a tree on the roadside. Could only reach 4 ripe ones but that's 4 lovely sweet free apples
Then in the evening we went to see a Santana tribute band for free as our neighbour gave us 2 tickets and oh's parentals babysat
Plans for today:
Hopefully all of us going to the allotment for a few hours. With oh's help I should be able to finish off a meter x 2.5 ms bed and plant some calabrese, turnips and beetroot :T all rapid growing so should have them by end of October :T
Need to pick up bread and milk at some point. Worked out how much I will need to buy of these in future and freeze now I am doing 2 weekly shopping.
water veggies in greenhouse and pick anything that needs picking
get all bags, clothes & lunches made ready for tomorrow
Make some roasted veg, while cooking dinner, for couscous and veg for my lunches for a few days - great way to use up courgettes & tomatoes!
Bake jackets potatoes while cooking dinner for tomorrow's dinner, so when we get in it's just a matter of reheating and adding some toppings
might start up running again and go out for 20 minutes - about all I will be able to manage for a while!
do a load of washing (using laundry gloop) and hang on line
Might list some things on fleabay if I cba!
clean out car seeing as I start work tomorrow and might be going out with my new manager!
ok think that'll do!
I have made a decision to cut out social media/being online for a month (well a bit like the "Not buying anything new" challenge am starting off with a day at a time to see how it fits). Am allowing myself a post on here in the morning while having a coffee but THAT IS IT! Will see how it unfolds.
Hope you all have a lovely Sunday guys xDF as at 30/12/16

Afternoon all
Baileys Babe, I hope you feel better today. Sorry to read that you were feeling so down
Safe journey Legomum
Today I have / will:
Rescued pots of French beans which had blown over in the strong winds overnight. They don't seem any the worse for their ordeal. Also tied up some raspberry canes that were drooping.
Picked and ate a few raspberries
Packed up 3 more ebay sales, that is 5 to post tomorrowNeed to print out the labels now - which I have been putting off, as the dog always barks frantically at the printer. Sounds funny, but it is actually very annoying  Normally I try to print while OH takes him out, but no OH this week, so I will just have to put up with it
Small shop at Mr S, which should do me till the end of the week
Stocked up with their help yourself wine boxes for free ebay packaging
Line of washing more or less dried, between the rain
HM meals, just eating up odds and ends from the fridge really. I will have more of the courgette soup I made yesterday for dinner, with some bread and cheese. Actually it is courgette, pea and pesto, so not as boring as it sounds!
Dusting - dining room done so far, but must do more!
Take dog for a route march, to try to wear him out, as he is naughty todayEnjoyed the walk, didn't get wet, and I had a great time coveting the lovely big 1930s and earlier detached houses with big gardens and lovely sweeping drives as I walked past
Clean bathroom
List a few more bits on ebay
Put some of my business stock away
Bit of paperwork for business, then I won't have a mess of invoices all over my lovely book case
Coffee needed first, after that marathon walk - I am tired, dog doesn't appear to be though, as he is currently killing my slippers :rotfl:0 -
Hi August Awesome-ees,
I've been on the sofa all day resting. Decided to be productive though.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Checked broadband allowance.
* Did RMS Surveys.
* Ordered two secondhand DVDs.
* Sewed a new zip into my trousers. Did it by hand as it was fiddly, so no electricity used.
*It's not going to be as sunny as we hoped tomorrow so we're not going to the beach we got cheap tickets to the theatre instead to see an Agatha Christie. £15 each in the front row of the Upper Circle.
Every year I do a household efficiency to save time and money so today I've:
* Changed all our passwords for everything on three computers, two Kindles and two phones. Took two hours. Worth it though.
* Deleted my spare email address. Having two is a pain in the neck and takes up my time. Will save on data.
* Cancelled three accounts with various companies. I don't need them.
* Tweaked our WiFi for maximum efficiency.
* Deleted my second Facebook account. I don't need two. Will save on data.
* We keep a Household Book which is essentially an A-Z address book in which we right all our login details (in code!), account details of all the companies we use and renewal dates etc. I bought a thick book and every year I cut off the A-Z tabs and sellotape them on fresh pages further through the book. Then I cut out the used pages with a Stanley knife. It's a shabby work of art. :rotfl: Took me an hour to make a "new" book but it's worth it to sort out the current data from the old. It also means when we have to phone the Gas Board and they ask for our favourite food/the place our canary was born/the colour our granny wore on her wedding day we have that information to hand.
Live long, live well and prosper.

THE BIG THREAD FREQUENCY VOTE
I have put an anonymous poll on the internet so that folk can express their opinions about how often the thread should be posted.
I'm not saying we have to take actions on the results. I just thought it'd be an easy way to gather opinions.
For anyone who wonders what we're talking about here's a heads-up: For as long as I can remember a new thread has been posted every day with the title "What small DFW-things will you be doing today?" This week the thread is running as "What small DFW-things will you be doing this week?"
What does everyone think?
Folk who use the Facebook page can vote on there too.
Here's the link. there's no need to sign up for anything. Just visit and vote. Takes 10 seconds.

I'll post regular updates on the vote on here.
