- just one portion of salad leaves so I forced another one down now, along with 2 giant plums (which to be fair did not need to be forced, they were like nectar) - makes today a 2:2.
I knew I was eating too much sugar until about 5 months ago when I made a conscious decision to stop, I just didn't realise how little else I ate and that makes eating the required veg quota a greater challenge than I had thought.
You know I have to say this, and not in any way a nasty way, but omg, am I glad you are finding this so hard :rotfl:
Seriously I don't mean it nasty in any shape or form. Just OMG , you are human
Remember the days when people on here made others who weren't so thrifty feel bad? When I read your beat the sugar thread, I was like omg I'm failing again
You are doing so well and I enjoy reading your posts, but omg, you make me feel real when you also admit your failures
Thank you x0 -
Fruit juice at breakfast (1); sweetcorn and tomato for lunch (2.5); lettuce, beetroot, carrot, watermelon, cucumber, courgette, avocado for supper (7). 1.5 fruit 5.5 veg. And I'm not really eating much else as a result!
Avocado on toast or tomato on toast for breakfast would help get the veg intake up, and I love both of them. Otherwise vegetable-based options for breakfast are probably based around omelettes.0 -
Unsure of what kind of day I have had ..
Banana breakfast , apple at lunch, made mushroom stroganof for supper with white rice and green beans , just had cheese on toast ...
So 2 fruit , 2 veg ...
Oh and a very nice ginger biscuit at 10 am£223/ £250 GC0 -
Morning...
Yesterday was a better day. Lunch was a huge salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, spring onion, sweetcorn, grated carrot, pine nuts, vinaigrette and dinner was crispy chili chicken w/rice, carrots and broccoli. Banana and apple for snacks.
I make that 8:2.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

Yesterday's tally was:
- blackberries with breakfast
- curry of lentils and spinach at lunchtime (I substituted some fat hen for the spinach - as pretty much same difference)
- snack of banana/avocado/nut butter bashed together (so 0.5 each of banana and avocado)
- had some plums, some dried plums and most of an apple (the most being it was home-grown - well the bugs got the rest of it....).
Fingers crossed for loads of home-made sauerkraut at some point soon - if those damn cabbage white caterpillars will just leave my cabbages I've got growing alone....0 -
Well today ...
Banana breakfast , pear, 4 sticks celery, green beans , slice of white bread, (lunch plus snacks) , dinner , bubble and sqeek made with butternut squash ,potatoe, cabbage, lots of spring onions and parsley.

Fruit juice at breakfast (1). Lots of salad at lunch (4). Junk the rest of the day. Still, at least the proportions are right.0

Yesterday I had salad for lunch again - lettuce, tomato, cucumber, spring onion, sweetcorn, grated carrot, pine nuts, vinaigrette. Dinner was fish curry (1), rice, carrots and broccoli. Snack was an apple.
Total yesterday was 8:1.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

Yesterday was better but not quite what I am aiming for, a 2:2 day in the end.
I've just had a nice big peach with a few blackberries, just 0:1 so far.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
