Well all change from the relaxing weekend.  Had a shouty client at work, won't engage with the support staff, or the debt/benefits advisors, just wants the food parcel, well he has to engage or he will not get anything. It has been going on for years now.   

 It all got very shouty,  dropping the F-bomb all over the place, and the C-bomb, generally abusive, always someone else's fault, threw things about and then left. Not had one of those for a while.....  it makes you wonder why you bother, to be honest.  He is not usually violent, so at least there was no fear of that, but he was so badly behaved today.

It was an ambush, but the training went well, I think,  .... the  conversation went along the lines of;

 'Hi how are you! 

 mwah! mwah!

You're looking well! 

Oh good, are you doing the X event too? 

No I am doing the Y event,

Oh, so who is the manager for X event then?

Erm, you are?? Did nobody tell you?

**act surprised**  **step back in amazement**  **who, little old me?? (bats eyelashes)**

So we will see how that works out.  At least it was not a complete and utter surprise.  Sink or swim, and at least  I don't have much time to fret over it.

And .... it was not the person who books me that did the training, by the way.  The one who avoids me ....

 It was someone else.  So that little plot continues to thicken .....

Re DH's knee can I suggest you look up Knees Over Toes Guy/ ATG - his book is really good for strengthening the stuff around the knee to reduce knee issues (I have an 11 yo ACL reconstruction). His socials are full of testimonials for all sorts of knee conditions.

Busy busy over here - have you thought about doing project management- maybe in the construction industry ? You obviously has experience running lots of men inc apprentice age ones and understand how to timetable etc - I think you’d be amazing 
maybe you can drag a son with you as well to get him into the crafts 

thete are exams you can do - short one week courses - not sure what the one is for construction but the day rate is awesome and I can’t believe working with construction guys is worse than TK Maxx public .. despite those idiot white supremacist carpet fitters

Hello you gorgeous lot (and a special mention to Georgous and Chloe!)

I had a totally mad day yesterday. Full of  panicking people, crazy people, someone expecting to be able to pay in US$ (???) and Nigerian,  erm, whatever they use in Nigeria, we even had a 3 week old baby in a studio ........ and a totally weird situation where I was told a conversation had been had in training about 'something'  we have always done, but should now no longer do.  This conversation simply never happened.  It just did not exist. I sent a text to another team leader just to make sure, and got the reply that someone in a different department that I had not seen for 5 months had got an email 4 weeks ago not to do 'the thing'.............. erm, not sure how they thought that was going to help me - osmosis?

Checked with the only other girl on the training day - nope she'd never heard of it either. It did not happen.  It was utterly surreal, but at least I know I am now supposed to read other people's emails that I don't receive, to find out what I am not supposed to be doing......      but at least I know that I had not forgotten, or missed it, or zoned out. 

BECAUSE IT NEVER HAPPENED!  Phew!  I actually started to doubt myself on that one .

One day left in the North  Manchester venue, most of the people have been amazing and fabulous, but yesterday was a lot of smoothing ruffled feathers, both staff and grads, and people keep holding my hand!  

Was touched far too many times yesterday by odd ladies

Turns out I had a staff member with addiction problems.  It became a problem.  I really didn't need that. I hope they get the help they need.  Nuff said.  Draw the curtain on that one.  Phew!  
Should be home by lunchtime so am meeting my boys for lunch.
