Fallout  still continues from the work 'situation',  by the time I see people again, the gossips will have turned it into a slam-down wrestling match, on stage,  in front of Clive Myrie.   Never mind, it all adds to my notoriety!!

Went charity shopping after my £50 PB win.  Spent £10 but got a new white shirt for work, a silky cami top, a slinky green wrap top, two pairs of trousers (none for work) and a hoodie for DS3.

Popped into the community fridge project on the way home, got two BNS and filo galettes, lots of bread rolls, apples, bananas, grapes, lemons and limes, passion fruits and mangoes, a couple of trays of raspberries, 6 bananas,  a couple of premade sandwiches ( that the kids have raided in that dangerous time between lunch and supper where a teenage boy's life hangs in the balance if he can't have a second lunch),  two  bottles of Oggs (not egg scrambled egg mix in a bottle - cholesterol free!), two packs of Tofu and some Not Ham, and a couple of bags of mixed vegetables,  all for free.  Thank you very  much!  They had loads of stuff, and there was plenty left over for anyone who came after me.

Had bread rolls, sandwich fillers, pickles and salady bits for lunch.  The above will feed us for most of the weekend and well into next week.

Between Tuesday night and this morning, the boys have totalled an entire jar of peanut butter and an entire jar of chocolate spread, all during the night.  The peanut butter was gone by Thursday morning.  Luckily they have not noticed the biscuit spread, or the raspberry jam.... yet....I think...

I sliced up a sad looking smallish orange from the fruitbowl, put it in my glass, and poured lemonade over it, I have reinvented Fanta! Who knew it was that simple?

My fridge may or may not have 8 free aubergines in it...... okay, it does.  They are rescued aubergines.

Top two floors of the house cleaned and hoovered this morning, including bathrooms and mirrors.

Dirty clothes stolen. Washing machine on. Hoovered to bottom step and am having a well earned cup of tea.

Energy bill came in at £150 this month.  £30 on gas (cooking and hot water)  £120 on lighting, kitchen machinery, and computers( so they can game all night long) I am getting sick of this.

DS1 went off camping with friends this weekend - it will be good for his mental health - but I could quite cheerfully strangle him... and DS2 .... and DS4 actually.   

Is this what happens when you start earning money for yourself? They are fit, healthy, strong, clever young men.  There is no reason they should not be working.

So, off to make lunch, then start on cleaning the ground floor. I am not coming back from Ireland to beds that need changing or rooms that need cleaning.   I am coming back to a clean and tidy house.

Unexpected death news from Ireland. The lady who sat with step-gran until I  got to the hospital,  has died.  She had just welcomed her first grandson, who she was absolutely tickled with, and has 3 granddaughters, all under 10 ( I think ), such sad news.  Bit thrown by it really.  Poor family.   Makes you think though, doesn't it?

The oldest two pay for their own phones so they have enough data to game all night routed through that. I could turn off their plug sockets on the fuse board?
Turns out it was suicide, poor love must have been in so much pain.  Poor family.

Ah, so sorry. Suicide is always such a ‘what if’ thing. As you say, poor family.

Good lord that is sad news. You don't really think about the elderly taking their own lives, or at least it hasn't really ever occurred to me before. No tomorrow is promised really, is it.

 Tomorrow we will be heading to Liverpool and sailing overnight to Ireland.  

Apparently Aunt-in-Law is having a surprise birthday event in Liverpool in January (80th?) - well, it was mentioned by DH's cousin, to m-i-l,  and then nothing more, so I need to find out about that and book somewhere while it is still cheap,  as our  non-attendance at 'family events'  has been commented on.  Well sorry, but I could not afford to house me and four kids in hotels all over the country in high season for other people's weddings for his family, usually at times when DH was away and would not be coming with us. I was not earning, and frankly they were not worth the outlay.

 Besides, they are all 'for show' kind of people, and I was not going to provide the floorshow and evening entertainment.  Which was the real reason for the invite.   Now the kids are bigger and can defend themselves,  I will relaunch them into the family pool. Then they can make their own decisions.

Lovely lady gave me a huge bag of plums, going to have to freeze some cos I will not have time to eat them all, and they are delicious. They will reappear as crumble no doubt!  Also have  a couple of sad looking eating apples, so might chunk and freeze those too.  Nothing will be wasted.

Just going to do a quick run around with the hoover, and make sure everything is tidy to come back to - nothing more depressing than coming back in the door and seeing  a messy house (again).

So that is my day today, packing a bag, and tidying the house, and making sure no food is wasted.
