I could put it off no longer, I have 'bought' my academic diary to take me through to September next year. The dates are coming thick and fast, and I need to plan into 2025 already.  So got one from the South-American-River shop with a gift card I got for trying to predict football scores  in a survey (awful! - no career in sports betting for me!) so £0 outlay and I finally badgered  DH into sharing his Pr1me delivery with the household, so no cost there either.  It will be with me tomorrow.  The filing  and paper recycling continues - it is making a heck of a difference to the place.

Allegedly more dates for work will come next week, so that is lovely, and slightly reassuring for the future.

Going to enjoy the Olympics while more clearing and cleaning goes on. 

I am knackered because the nocturnal landing wanderings have recommenced.  The last one was at 5.27am. I am really angry about it.  It is rude.

I'm missing all the Olympics hoohaa, but dh discovered a Strongman Championship League channel on the telly here ( though he waited 2 days to tell me 🤣🤣🤣)

My Naughty 80 yr old  #2 is back volunteering, he does not look well.  Still worried.

 I  woke to a message  to say I was £2 overdrawn, so moved £5 from another account, and bought some bread on the way home, hopefully that will see me through til tomorrow when my expenses should land, and Wednesday when my pay hits the bank account.  It was those blasted chips that sent me over my budget.  Definitely a Laziness penalty.

Could it just be the heat that is bothering him.  I'm only a couple of years behind him & I first noticed last year that heat seems to take a lot more out of me than it used to.  Then when we go back to normal temps it takes me a while of feeling quite cold before I adjust back.

He has been prescribed statins, and after them making him dizzy and wobbly and causing him to fall, he has stopped taking them.  Hopefully he will spring back, but he seems to have aged in the last week.  Poor thing.n

Have they suggested he goes on what people took before they had statins.  I have know a few people go on statins & I don't know one that didn't have a bad reaction.  They keep telling people it is just the original ailment getting worse, but I do know that they put my mother back on her original meds & she was fine again.

I always keep between £25-£80 in my accounts in cash. Always useful to get the bank texts though

My expenses were expected on Tuesday, but they came in today instead with my pay, so £3k hit my bank account this morning, when combined with DH's housekeeping. Not too shoddy. 

£1k to the credit card £1k to the savings (£8k in the bathroom fund) and £1k for bills and the month of August.   Anything on the PBs will be a beautiful added bonus.

• Need to buy tickets for boat to Ireland
  
• DS3 needs new clothes  - that boy LOVES to shop - he is his father's son
  
• DS2 needs new clothes - literally like wrestling a badger to get him outside
  
• DS4 gets all the hand-me-downs he chooses
  

September is looking good work-wise I have about £1200 booked in already.  (Will have earned more April - September this year than I did for the whole of previous year).   October however, I only have £150 worth booked in, but there is still time.
