I never thought of myself as a good mother but my DS is trying to diet & the thought of feeding him something deliberately fattening. Well words fail me & that doesn't happen very often.

The week before his birthday she rang me to ask if he wanted anything, I said absolutely no chocolate, he is doing really well he has less than a stone left to lose. I am glad that they are a country away because if she lived nearby he would have delivered them back to her.
This is the kind of nonsense she gets off on.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Well that is the party wall agreement done, and walls inspected, and now I am £840 poorer. But I knew it was coming, so I had kinda prepared myself for it. The next thing will be another £850 odd for building control and regs and blah blah blah, nothing to do with bricks and mortar, just to do with council regulations (that the shonky builders next door are not sticking to), luckily I have enough, and it was not a surprise as The Architect (remember him, the one from February??) sent me an email with the exact costs for EVERYTHING to do with him at the start before he even drew up plans. He was very good to inform me of ALL the costs. I would have been gutted otherwise. There won't be much change from £40k by the time Xmas rolls around. I will have around £75k left, and so I will concentrate on squirrelling money away at the start of the year - I am already booked for around £800 of work in January - and Xmas holiday plans are to be painting and decorating all of the top floor bedrooms - apparently they are now too old for Star Wars and Marvel wallpaper (grrr!)
