My OH is a bit like that which has made my present buying over the years complicated.
Diet munchies might be nice dark chocolate - maybe fruity, raspberry is lush.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thinking more along the seaweed thins and various popcorns route, maybe posh olives. Small packets. Portion control, keeping well away from nuts. It is going to involve reading a lot of small tables on the back of packets....

Just opened another current account for switching. I switched to a Tee S Bee account this month, and have funded it, but need to make 20+ card purchases for the £5 a month bonus and £150 switching bribe before 30 November. So staying there for a while, but Nationalwide are now offering £200 to switch, so quickly opened a burner account with the Hollyfax (my main bank) and will set up a dd for my political party membership and a dd for the lottery that knows your postcode. One needed to be done anyway, and the other is just for fun. Will switch that out next month. That is all the moneysaving I have done this weekend. I am waiting on payday at the end of next week before I can do anything properly nefarious.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am inordinately annoyed, and I am finding it hard to let it go. Work friend has been offered work, and I have not. They did this last year as well, they offered her the longer contracts, and I got the one day ones . I am not annoyed she has the work, god knows she says she needs the money, so it will help her out, but she did not tell me last year (until she realised she could not fit the work in and wanted me to bail her out) and she did not tell me this year either, I found out by accident. I don't think she would have told me at all.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

In other news ..... the party wall surveyor chap is coming in the morning, the scaffold for the roof is going up on 9th October (I sent an email, they had forgotten us). The builder now says he can start early November on the loft extension - a week ago it was early October, so who really knows? I am keeping flexible....

Have you asked why this is happening? I think it is a legitimate question!f0xh0les said:Today I am inordinately annoyed, and I am finding it hard to let it go. I think the boss lady who books us doesn't like me. Simple as that I'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, I really like my work friend, I just have the feeling she would be quite happy to take work and not mention it to me unless she got found out. They have no obligation to offer me work, but I am very good at what I do. I am a 'Full Disclosure' kinda girl. It just puts something in the back of your mind ... still, everyone else likes me.In other news.... 8 days til scaffold goes up (woo hoo!), in limbo until tomorrow when money hits my bank account - not even sure how much is coming in, work expenses for last month have not been paid yet (odd) and this month will be the first that I am taking interest payments monthly from some savings accounts. Found an email in the spam from Mr Walker who makes crisps - free £5 from their 'win your lunch' promotion. I found an empty packet in one of the boys' bedrooms and thought I'd give it a go. Well done me!I think this month might actually be the month where I am not scrabbling around trying to keep in budget in the last week of the month. Fingers crossed anyway.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!
