More like a working showers in the bathrooms this year!  The boys are going to be so disappointed when they realise that there is no excuse for them not to shower daily.   They whine about having a bath! Oooh, if only we had a shower Mum, then I could have a shower before school - they could just get up 5 minutes earlier and have a bath, but noooo, wah wah wah, then you cant get them out of the bath cos they are loving it,  the same nonsense every day.  Minimum 2 baths each and every day.

Oh my goodness 2 baths each twice a day, they are so clean! Sometimes I think my boys would forget for days if I don't remind them (then they stand in the shower for ages 🤦‍♀️)

are you sure that the new roof quote covers everything that's needed?

Yes it does - there is one elevation which is not needed, so one less set of scaffold, and one less roof to be replaced.

The promised scaffold has not turned up yet.  I think it is officially 'the back end of the week' now.  Very annoying but also very wet and yucky outside.  Maybe tomorrow?  They are due to start taking the roof off next week, which is when the scaffold for the loft extension is due to go up.  

There may be another rodent moved in. I found the foil lid of a yoghurt pot in the back of the cupboard under the sink where all the pipes go, so one murdery rat trap has been set, and two humane rat traps, and two humane mouse traps  just in case it is just a tiny mouse come in from the cold.  I think the lid went into the washing up on Tuesday this week.  Will see if I catch anything in my traps.

Well it could have got stuck to the bottom of the cleaning bucket....  or fallen down the side of the sink... But better safe than sorry after last time..👀 It is cold and wet here today.
I did the food shopping this morning and spent £90 (!!!) And visited two charity shops this afternoon.  Just stewed two bags of apples from the freezer so that the shopping would fit in 🥶but eventually I won the freezer Tetris challenge.

Sadly the most interesting things are a pack of 8 stuffed bao buns and 2  bags of spinach. The rest is bits and things like jubblies the kids have forgotten about and bags of peeled prepped apples from our scrumping mission. 
Still no scaffolding.  Spent the day cleaning and making DS2 register with the government as a not working person. Finally.  He has also agreed to make tea tonight. Just a pesto (jar of) spaghetti, but it is something, and really the least he can do.  So he will be able to claim today as a successful day. 
They all have to hoover their bedrooms tonight as well. 
Tomorrow there will be 2 months til C-Word.

My freezer was so packed Tetris would have been impossible- took me 2 months to properly eat it down to defrost. 

Now I am loving the cleanliness and emptiness but also desperate to fill it again! 

Glad you moving (dragging?! ) your son slowly in a positive direction ..  can’t he get a bar or barista job at least for a few days a week - especially at Xmas hospitality needs workers!
