At least they asked your DH. My double glazing salesman asked to talk to my son about the quote. Needless to say he didn't get the job. That's m/c too but I think the opposite side to you.

That is staggeringly ignorant and poor practice for their business …. 🙄

Well, in a total surprise turn up for the books, Mr Flloyds has given me £150 before even closing the NornIrish bank's account or transferring the money in. Just set up the app on my phone, had a look around, and the money was there. Diznee + starts in August for a year as another freebie. I do love a freebie. Also signed up for another free month of Amazonian Primus. Got another 12 stamps from Mr Warm Horses' new Postal Panel- will have to start on the postcard competitions again. Still waiting on £25 cashback from buying home insurance in March, but it is tracked and confirmed, just not yet payable.Filled the car up with petrol (£50) trawled the charity shops, got a big white linen shirt for work for £2.99 , it still had the £16 price tags on it from Arseda.Packed my bag for working away next week , texted my work-partner-in-crime to check in, and her chap is out of hospital and back at home where he should be. She will worry the whole time, but at least he won't be as bored as he was in hospital, plus he can recuperate in peace without anyone staring at him... except the dog.Forced myself not to buy loads of food for when I am away. The freezer is full already, DH is an adult and can cope.DS1 is loving his work training at the Base of Home. He seems a bit more of his old self already.Going to bake a vanilla Bougatsa for breakfast tomorrow with coffee (thanks to Mr Leedl and his week of Greek) and enjoy that with the politics.I am still under 13 stone, and still dropping, so I am taking a bag of slimming drink powder with me on the train, and that is breakfasts and lunches sorted for most days. Step count will be exceeded every day. That is the plan, what could go wrong? Oh yeah, dinner out every night, and lovely drinks.... hence the being good 6am - 7pm, will try not to ruin it all4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

So happy to hear DS1 is starting to thrive in a work role - that’s wonderful 😊
Yaay for the £150 and all the other bits and pieces coming into you. It will be interesting to find out how your DH gets on without you there … 😉 It sounds like this work week might be quite fun, albeit tiring! Hope it goes well 😊 What is it that you are doing during this week away? (Sorry if if you’ve said and I’ve missed it.)KKAs at 15.08.25:

Uni Graduations - photo sales, people herding, conflict resolution, agony aunt/ relate counsellor - all in one , - all the soft skills, the stuff that makes an event flow smoothly and stops people being unhappy and feeling like 'a unit' rather than a person.I would rather work 120+ hours over 10 days than 20 hours a week for 6 weeks.DH does not get it, but I loved working bars and events, and if work feels like a party, it is not really work.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
