Suddenly I have one about to do A levels, one doing mock GCSEs and the other two are lazy swines. Apparently they have to revise any time they are asked to do anything and I cannot be bothered to argue. I ask, they walk away, I fume....

My eldest will be ok, DS will live on cheese wraps, super noodles and an apple crumble and DD2 who knows yoghurt and crisps. It is part of the plan for the summer holidays to learn a few other dishes, maybe something with some nutritional value lolMe, DD1 20, DS 18, DD2 14, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/195

Made double biryani for lunch so there is leftovers in the fridge for probably 4 people.Made a big chilli as well, as I have lots of peppers lying about the place. Also cooling for the fridge.8 scones in the oven, for my very Republican face. The police's behaviour is atrocious.Going to make a fruit salad with all the other fruity bits and bobs in the fridge and a tin of peach slices.Would have made more cakeage, but DS3 has been making himself waffles for breakfast a couple of times a week, and he has decimated my s/r flour collection on the sly. Not to mention necked half a bottle of golden syrup, and eaten all the plain yoghurt, and left the toffee flavoured yoghurt.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

I have been very quiet this weekend as I literally had nothing nice to say about an old man's vanity project paid for by UK PLC. How many nurse's bursaries and pay rises would that have been the equivalent of? Surely more than a measly 5% . How many teacher's pay rises and classroom supplies ? He could even have called them Charlie's Angel Grants, and everyone would say Well flippin' Done, it might even have got his painting in the hospital for everyone to genuflect before. After Austerity, Brexit, and the cost of living going through the roof, it feels like rubbing the peasants' noses in it, with his gold coach. It did not even make him any more 'Kingly' than before, but cheers for telling us to go volunteer our time for free in his name. ***Rant over***In our house, the highlight of this week will be Eur0visi0n, it being Greek week in Lee Del, and not having to put the heating on.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

I decided that as I was forced to watch the last coronation (yes I'm that old, I was 7 then) this would be my choice. I haven't turned the TV on since Thursday. You should have heard some of the REALLYs I've heard. My DS said oh I'm shocked in a tone that showed that he really was not shocked at all.

I had to watch quite a bit of it as Mr KK is something of a royalist, as in he likes having a figurehead for the state. What got me was the sycophantic commentary - I swear if I had heard one more thing about the 12th century ‘humble spoon’ which was used for the anointing bit, I would have finally cracked and started ranting here too. It’s solid gold and hugely ornate … humble?! My …. ####! Use a stainless steel teaspoon from the local cafe and you can start talking about ‘humble’.
Sigh ….As at 15.10.25:
